Macaque won't leave the mountain, and Wukong doesn't know what to do. Shenanigans ensue. This is gonna be kinda slice-of-life-y, but with a plot thats relevant throughout. Not a ton of angst, mainly fluff and goofy things -

“So… Stupid, huh? Ahaha…” Wukong forced a laugh, a choked up sound bubbled out of his throat as tears slowly spilled out of his eyes. He brought a hand up to his face and turned away, “... Sorry.”
An exasperated mumble, “... You're so annoying.” After a few moments of tense silence, Macaque tried again. “You're annoying when you… Shove all of your problems away like that.”
Wukong's angry smile faded and he blinked, his mouth opening and closing a few times. Macaque kept talking. “... Quit trying to act like it's below you to cry for once. You look stupid.”

Wukong isn't one to confront his problems, let alone come to terms with them. So, what does he do? Ignore it, as per usual.

Base show description: LEGO Monkie Kid is a LEGO theme inspired by the journey of Monkey King in Journey to the West. It was licensed by the company introduced in May 2020. The toy line then got its own animated show, titled LEGO Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born, which premiered on May 29, 2020, in China. The show follows young teenager Monkie Kid (MK) and his friends as they battle various enemies to protect the town of Megaopolis. It aired for 5 seasons with 4 specials from 2020 to 2024.
The New Adventures story description: It's now 2025, and in the small town of Eastbrook, 20-year-old Mono Eastbrook, mainly known for surviving the Eastbrook murders, has been trying to build a time watch to travel to the past, present, and future. After he finishes making his time watch, he sends himself to Megaopolis, and now he's stuck there, working with the Monkie Kids to help save the town and his timeline.

“Hey MK, why do you have so many dads?” Mei suddenly asked out of the blue, somehow still hyper focused on the game in-front of her.
MK, on the other hand, was absolutely NOT expecting that, and he stops playing to stare at Mei.
What? Only Pigsy was his dad! Also maybe debatably Mr. Tang, but that wasn’t the point! Besides, so many? He only has two dads!
As MK was busy short circuiting, Mei saw that as an opportunity, eagerly attacking MK’s mech.
The Monkey Mech victory sound was enough to snap MK out of his thoughts, the noodle delivery boy turning to glare at Mei. “Hey, I was thinking! Not fair Mei, not fair.”
“Not my fault you decided to let go of your controls.” Mei responds, pointing to the controller in MK’s hands.
“Wh- yes it is!” MK exclaims, “You suddenly asked me why I had ‘so many dads’, how was I supposed to respond?”
“Am I wrong? You have Pigsy, Tang, Macaque and Monkey King!” Mei replies, setting her controller down beside her on the couch.

At the first chance he ran. Macaque wasn't about to be used by the Lady Bone Demon, but it wasn't really in his plan to run into MK and his group of friends. He didn't really have a choice to stay though his powers were on the fritz and his injuries were enough to slow him down. He would just have to deal with Wukong for awhile and the stupid emotions that were resurfacing as they find themselves on the same side again.
