Summary
The world is saved. The Veil has been tied to the last of the Elvhen gods, and the dregs of the Darkspawn hoard will soon be routed with ease. The Dread Wolf has been tamed, and so, with her purpose fulfilled, the Inquisitor slips away, vanishing into the history books.
Far to the south, in a jungle unabated by the approach of civilization or destruction of the Blight, there is an ancient ruin from the time of the old gods. She finds it purely by accident. Within is a courtyard, a space that is guarded by a host of statues, uniform in their likeness, though their poses vary. From every angle, weathered and aged, coated in moss and lichen and verdigris, wolves of stone and metal stand watch, forgotten and resolute.
Ellana lingers there, in the ruin in the wilds in the south. Then one day, she begins to clean the wolves.

Summary
Willow always romanced Solas when playing the Inquisition. She never imagined she'd reincarnate into her favorite playthrough alongside her favorite custom Lavellan—but not as Lavellan. Instead, she woke up as Willow Norwood: human, Nevarran, a hobo apostate with the same freckled face and stubborn heart she had on Earth. She'd planned to become the Herald, save Solas, fix everything. She arrived one day too late. Now Ellana Lavellan carries the mark, and Willow must watch her beloved character live out the romance she'd scripted a hundred times. But when Solas starts looking at Willow's magic—at Willow—like she's something extraordinary, the question becomes: does she step aside for the story she knows, or fight for one she never dared imagine?

CONCLAVE CHAOS: ANDRASTE'S ASHES DESTROYED BY DALISH APOSTATE!
Tragedy at the Temple of Sacred Ashes! All those in attendance for peace talks or pilgrimage - apostates and innocent faithful alike - were killed in an explosion that tore the very Veil with its violence. The Divine has been assassinated, our Lady's resting place obliterated by foul magic, and the bloodshed has unleashed demons across Thedas.
A Dalish elf was found at the scene of the attack, wielding the same magic that desecrated the Temple. Through valiant efforts of the faithful at Haven, she was compelled to mitigate some of her vile act, and the Breach in the Veil was prevented from expanding.
However, in grim news, the prisoner has escaped custody, aided by some sort of cult. Blood magic is not suspected, but cannot be ruled out - the prisoner is to be considered highly dangerous. Pursuit is ongoing. We keep faith that justice will be served.

Summary
This was the worst timeline:
The one where the Evanuris were victorious and plunged the world into blighted madness. Where everything went so wrong, got so fucked up for both the Veilguard and the Dreadwolf’s elven forces….Solas and Varric were thrust into an alliance as shaky and desperate as their last gambit ritual.
Forced to work together to avoid further loss, it was unquestionably clear they would need more than just any Rook:
Varric would pick someone down-to-earth. Someone who thought quickly on their feet. Someone fade-sensitive from a successful resurrection, and whom he owed a debt to that could never be repaid.
Solas would select his target as one sympathetic to his elven cause and with a unique… advantage. One that made her perfect to negotiate support with the Wardens, Dalish, and Southern Thedas.
In all the other worlds, the Veilguards crumbled and failed their missions. Except for the Ingellvar orphans, Evie and Ivy, both too stubborn for their own good and too brave to accept anything else but absolute victory over the gods.

Cullen Rutherford's worst enemy and greatest asset is his own mind. Addicted to lyrium and dangerously, stupidly in love with the Herald of Andraste, it has sometimes tortured him, but it has always gotten him through. Until now. Haven is on fire, a demigod is stalking them, the Inquisition's war is about to kick off for real, and all he has to keep himself sane enough to survive is a beat up old journal.

Summary
Spoiler warning: contains full Dragon Age lore!
Dark fantasy
This Book 1 speaks of guilt, faith, crushing responsibilities, and the first tremor of a love that does not yet understand the magnitude of what it will one day destroy. It is not rebellion yet; it is the dawn before the tragedy.
I am not trying to retell Dragon Age: Inquisition. The explosion of the Conclave is only the starting point that allows me to narrate another story: the intimate origin of a relationship that will change the world. I seek to enter the dark soul of Solas...
When I began writing this story during the pandemic, I too believed the tale Solas had sold us. But I came to understand it was only one version within a greater fiction. He was, after all, remembered as the god of Lies, Treachery and Rebellion, depending upon the story.
This book is the origin of the woman behind the myth, and of love before the fall. It is an elven tragedy, and all I want is to bare the wound.
"I'm begging for you to take my hand, wreck my plans...That's my man..."

Summary
Solara’s curiosity was something nurtured with great care when she lived in Skyhold. Dorian’s lessons, Sera’s schemes, Blackwall’s excursions, Varric’s tales, Cole’s whimsy, Harding’s wanderlust… everyone played a role in what culminated into the young woman standing before the Grey Warden. She held the hurt of a millennia of tormented elves in her bones, the blood of a rebel god in her veins, and an entire Inquisition’s greatest joys and sorrows in her heart.
This is the prequel to my Rook/Lucanis Dragon Age the Veilguard fanfic! The dates have been changed to account for Rook's age, so the timeline looks like this:
- Inquisition: 9:41
- Trespasser: 9:43
- Veilguard: ~9:69-70
Two Rooks and a King is a series co-created by two friends who played Veilguard side by side in a Discord voice chat and thought, "Okay but what if there were TWO Rooks, and they were SISTERS?"
Smut chapters will be marked with an asterisk*, and content warnings will be noted in the beginning notes when needed.

Summary
Clan Lavellan's Hahren and then Solas tell competing stories of the Dread Wolf's Heart.
“Be careful, da’len,” warned the Hahren. “This Dread Wolf is not made of stone, and you will hurt him if you are not careful. Be gentle with him, as you might one of the clan’s coursers.”
They felt one of his massive canines. He was sure this was not how they might have treated a courser.
“Would you bite off my hand like you did the Inquisitor's?” they asked.
He shifted back, caught the child, stared at them, shocked.
“I… WHAT?” he spluttered. “I did NOT bite off her hand!”
“Awwww,” said the child. “That’s how Hahren said she lost it. I don’t remember ALL of how it goes, but the Dread Wolf loved a hunter of the People who was clever and wise and held the Fade in her hand, but it was hurting her and he bit off her hand to save her and then ran away because he was so sad.”
Solas glared at the Hahren, who regarded him with a mild grin.
“Perhaps we should hear the Hahren’s story then,” he said. “And then I will tell mine.”
For the prompt 'Dread Wolf's Heart' for Solavellentine 2026.
