Summary
Thousands of civilians were still inside the Tower when its creator, Dr. Shu Kurenai, lost control of his experimental, self-replicating android project and was forced to put his entire facility in lockdown. However, the word is that anyone who survives long enough to reach the top--Floor 193--will be able to escape.
After seven years of climbing, Valt Aoi certainly hopes so. His original team reached Floor 193 six months ago, but, after being separated from them during the final ascent, attacked by the android horde that guards the top floor, he was left behind and forced to retreat.
