Summary

She couldn't follow them into death, though, after a strange deal with what she calls the "Entity" leaves her unable to age even after their deal is finished. So while Steve and Bucky each end up seventy years in the future suddenly (or, perhaps, with stilted memories of assassinations over the years, as Bucky goes), Bea lived the whole thing.
When life (and SHIELD, or at least Agent Maria Hill) brings the possibility of being part of Steve and Bucky's lives, she isn't certain how to deal with it. Living so long and seeing so many things has left her jaded.
But it's hard to resist a handsome face from her past.

Bucky looks down at his metal hand at hearing Lie’s words, scoffing playfully. “Yeah. By the looks of it, they called the wrong one of us ‘Iron Fist,’ kid.”
Lie couldn’t stop the smile forming on his face. It seemed like the Winter Soldier was able to make playful jokes. “When my Chi is fully-focused, my hand is ten times as strong as yours.” He challenges cockily.
That earns a squint out of Bucky, making him glance at Lie’s weathered yet strong hands. “After what Hydra did to me, I wouldn’t be so sure.” Bucky doubts, a small feeling inside of him wondering just how true Lie’s confident words were.

There were some times when Bucky Barnes was quite certain Natasha Romanoff might be the devil herself.
There wasn’t any other explanation for the trials and tribulations she put him through.
Here he was, sitting at the kitchen counter trying to enjoy an overstuffed Hero Sandwich he’d gotten from his favorite place in the city, and there was Natasha, standing in front of him eating strawberries like she’d been given explicit orders to arouse wayward super soldiers.
In her defense, she could’ve just been hungry, but the way she was eating told an entirely different story.
The damnable minx placing one juicy red berry between her soft plump lips, her red lips matching the color perfectly as they squeezed down on the berry with her cheeks hollowing slightly as she sucked on it like it was the most succulent thing she’d ever placed betwixt her lips.
It seemed to Bucky that she was intentionally making the human need to consume food far sexier than even the finest pinup.
