Travis has been here before. He knows how this is going to play out, and, to be honest, he doesn’t really want to be the audience to everything slowly veering off-course until it bursts into dramatic flames.
It’s almost eerie how similar the two situations are. Watching Trevor bounce around the locker room, Travis can see himself from seven years ago. He likes to think he’s matured over the past few years, but Trevor’s overactive mouth and seemingly endless energy aren’t far off from where Travis is at right now. Jamie, on the other hand, is Trevor’s perfect foil; quiet and subdued, pulling Trevor back from crossing the line, matching the overdone enthusiasm with a sense of calm - exactly as Nolan had been for Travis.
