After Bruce brutally attacks Jason for killing the Penguin, Superman comes to the rescue and takesthe unconscious body of Red Hood and takes him back to his Fortress of Solitude and nurses him back to health.
Throughout his recovery and even after he's fully recuperated, Clark and Jason start to draw closer together. But tragedy predictably strikes for Jason as he Clark refuses to reciprocate his feelings for him because of his friendship with Bruce.
Heartbroken and distraught, Jason puts on a brave face and decides to leave to sort out his feelings for Clark who he forced to swear to not tell a soul about his whereabouts to Bruce before getting captured by Lex Luthor who somehow found out about his relationship with Clark. -
