Summary
In the times Dream lives in prison, he comes up with a plan. He really wanted to get Tommy for his plans, but it would be quite hard because Tommy knew a lot of his tricks and was harder to manipulate. So Dream gets a great idea, he would travel back in time to the first L'Manburg war, where Tommy was young and naive. The twelve-year-old boy would be way easier to sway to Dream's side.
So with the help of some 'friends' and a God, Dream successfully creates a time machine. Going back in time to a timeline where the Independence War was just happening, Dream starts his plan. Wilbur is the President, Tommy is a child. They aren't ready for what Dream got planned.

When fairytale-like stories were woven for things happening on real soil, the desired endings were rarely met. Eret was proof of that; weary, haggard, molded by war-death-fear. They seldom lingered in one place, always on the move. Always leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.
The night they stumbled upon a hamlet in a small country, they forgot why they always moved on. They settled down, prepared to join L'Manberg's fight for freedom.
It took them very little time to remember why they did not stay in the towns they passed by. The white eyes of death did not bring peace with them.

Summary
Everyone in the world regrets a time when they should’ve lied, yet chose not to. He’s had plenty of those moments, many more having the opposite true instead, but if he were to point to a singular moment in his life, a singular moment where he had done injustice to someone that he cared about, to someone that he loved, to family, it was not staring that man in his eyes and saying no.
It was not defending his mother, it was not spouting off about his mother’s deference, of her loyalty, of her admiration, if he could go back to any one moment in his life, and rewrite his own words, he’d have looked up at that man and said that he’d misspoke.
Moral, marvelous, meritorious, moving, mindful, mighty, there are so many ways that he could’ve misspoke. He could’ve sat there and said that he’d meant any number of other things, that he was young, that he was stupid, there are hundreds of excuses that he could’ve prattled on about.
He could’ve saved his mother.
At least he may hopefully avenge her.

Summary
The bunker Tubbo had built, or the ‘Final Control Room’ as he’d called it, was rather small. Even with just a few of their soldiers there, it felt cramped. There were four chests lining the walls, each labeled with one of their names. Aside from those, the only notable feature was an almost unassuming oak wood button on the ground in the middle of the room.
Tommy wasn’t thinking when he pressed it. He hadn’t even fully registered it when his fingers pressed against the small wooden button. But something compelled him to look up when he did so, even in his unaware state. He locked eyes with Tubbo’s tired yet determined ones, and he knew right then and there that something was wrong. Because, even when out of his mind with grief and fatigue, he knew his best friend. And he could tell from his expression that they shouldn’t have trusted him. That fire in his eyes that hadn’t been there before was a dangerous thing. Something had gone to plan for him there in that barren room with nothing for the rest of them to gain.

Dream coughed into his hand. He ignored the warm splatter he felt against his glove. He heaved again, throat aching as he continued hacking up the scratch in his throat. The ache tickle in his throat was finally scratched out and Dream gasped. He wiped what he knew was blood from his hand onto his pants. He rubbed softly at his throat with his other hand.
He knew that George and Sapnap were waiting for him on the other side of the wall. That Wilbur and the rest of Lmanchildburg were getting impatient because he wasn’t already there. However, his head was still pounding and his body felt heavy from the limited sleep he had gotten all night. He kept trying to convince himself that he wasn’t sick. That he couldn’t be sick in the middle of a war. He just had to ignore the obvious fever that was burning off his skin.

Summary
Dream has grown tired of L’manburg.
Tired of the conflicts surrounding the place, tired of the constant scrutiny he gets for his handling of it, and overall, tired of the many costs it’s racked up for him.
Time and time again, the place has proven nothing but a waste-a waste of his time, his money, his efforts, everything. So when he’s given the first chance to abandon the cause, he takes it.
His own ego won’t allow him to let such rebels into his home, and he wouldn’t trust waltzing into a military camp with even one of their hands involved, and vice versa for the other side, thus the conclusion was made for him to venture within-meet his long term enemy and finally put this never ending feud to a rest.
