Out in central Texas, near the town of Gumption, at what is called the Permian Basin, oil drillers discovered something incredible - a massive living organism that defies description buried underground. It appeared to be dormant, and within its miles-wide-and-deep body was an entire ecosystem, with various parasites and organisms living within it. Well, instead of turning it over to the government to be hushed up, or trying to destroy it - they turned it into a tourist attraction. People were able to go on tours through the Superorganism - now called the Mystery Flesh Pit.
Now, don't get scared. This isn't real. An artist and aerospace engineer named Trevor Roberts created this strange idea, and built a whole alternate world about this mysterious place which doesn't actually exist. It's fascinating to read about, though, so go ahead and check it out - but be warned, it is rather creepy at times.
Being who I am, and having the kinks I do, I just had to use the setting for a story of my own. So join me as we follow a class of students on their way to take a tour of this incredible sight, on The Greatest Field Trip Ever!

A friend of mine on Eka's Portal and I came up with this idea - and it grew to a set of stories, which will hopefully continue to grow.
For those not aware of them, back in 2010 a woman in Great Britain started creating very weird teddy bears - ones with actual used dentures people had thrown away. The "bears" were always very weird looking, and rather creepy. Yet despite that, they became quite popular.
A big toy line bought into the idea, and called them "Fugglers", which is a concatenation of "Fun Ugly Monsters". Each version has its own name and back-story.
Well, my friend and I decided that a big genetics firm teamed up with Addo Play the company that currently makes Fugglers, to make real, living, Big Hungry Fun Ugly Monsters - or Bungry Fugglers.
The problem is, being living creatures that look just like the plush Fugglers, they have to eat. And just what they eat... well, you'll see.
To start with, I present the script for the very first TV commercial advertising Bungry Fugglers.
