She twisted in the sheets. If I hadn’t known she was sick I might have called it writhing. Her body undulated in discomfort and she let out a bevy of soft little whimpers and moans. The discomfort of her illness must have been considerable to provoke such a display. I was sure she was awake but she did not acknowledge me, so I stood at a parade rest, knowing she would address me when she felt strong enough to do so.

Shouto blinked. Had he not just answered that?
"Yes. I said that."
Beside him, Midoriya chuckled. Iida gave a sigh from across the room.
"No, no, do you like-like Hawks?" she asks again.
He stares at them both. What were they even saying? Like-like? What the hell did that mean? Was it a new slang? Shouto was never good with those. He was still learning. "Like-like?" he echoes.
Asui rolls her eyes and leans over Uraraka's shoulder. She levels him with black eyes, staring into his. Shouto feels the need to look away, but he doesn't. Fuyumi had always taught him that it was rude.
"Ochako wants to know if you have a crush on Hawks."
Or, Shouto has a crush on the Number Two Hero, Hawks, and everyone seems to find it funny but him?

Where Shoto develops a crush on Hawks after seeing him on TV when he was little. Shoto gets excited when Fuyumi buys him a selfie of Hawks that's signed. When he gets older his friends ask if he has a crush on Hawks and Shoto isn't sure until they explain it to him. Shoto then ask if Izuku has a crush on All Might but Izuku says that he looks up to All Might like a father. Shoto meets Hawks for the first time during the Endeavor Arc when Hawks helps Endeavor take down a villain and hands them books. Shoto is shy so Hawks even takes Shoto's hand to shake which makes SHoto blush. Shoto introduces himself and Hawks says he knows who he is. Hawks leaves, and Endeavor touches Shoto's forehead and ask if he's sick with fever. Midnight gives Shoto an assignment to draw someone he looks up to. Natsuo mentions how he's glad that Shoto had a childhood somewhat. Shoto later draws a picture of Hawks and shows it to Fuyumi and Natsuo who just looks at each and teases Shoto since they know that Shoto has a crush on him. Shoto buys VIP tickets to come see Hawks. Shoto decides to eat less, complains of headache, and raises his temperature before he tells Aizawa that he feels sick and Aizawa is surprised when he sees Shoto's high temperature. Shoto is sent to his room to rest and Shoto rests for a bit before he sneaks out and goes to the VIP Hawks Signing but he goes with his head covered with a blanket and the reporter ask why and Shoto honestly says that he pretended to be sick in school to come here with amuses them. Shoto ask if Hawks can sign his drawing of Hawks and Hawks says that it's amazing and ask if Shoto is an artist. Hawks ask what Shoto's name is and Shoto just says Touya. They take a picture and as Shoto is about to leave, Hawks tells Shoto to say hi to his dad Endeavor so Hawks knew it was Shoto.
