"The problem is that, despite common sense and all the rage coming from it, in the following weeks Feng Xin can’t help but occasionally check Mu Qing’s account and wonder why and how Mu Qing's life has changed so much. Who he’s met, what he's done.
He finds the answer out of the blue, as one evening he sees Mu Qing among the guests of a party he’s attending in Xie Lian's place.
He's elegant, mysterious and charming, every eye is drawn to him and the old man he's with. Feng Xin blinks a couple of times before registering one of said man's arms is wrapped around Mu Qing's narrow waist, hand on his hip.
Mu Qing is letting him do so, smiling politely.
Feng Xin knows it's just a charade.
He knows who Mu Qing is as a person and the one in front of him now is not the Mu Qing he used to know."
