The day is bright. The clouds are white. It will, no doubt, be bright for the rest of the hours left of it. But where Rei Sakuma stands, the green-haired son sees grey. It is strange, unsettling, and he thinks that a person ascending beyond the throes of mortality should be brighter than the Sun reigning on top of their heads. But the green-haired son only sees red under that grey patch. Rei Sakuma closes these red eyes. It is tiring, already, to be an immortal.
