The two of them hunting, Clancy was looking for an animal to drain, while Torch was seeking to exterminate the Vampire in his class.
However things change, perspectives grow past assumptions and guarded beliefs, and feelings push beyond their comfort.

Clancy has been freed from Dema a few mounths ago. But even if he feels more free and safe than he's even felt before, he can't help but feel threaten all the time. The Torchbearer is worried about how Clancy is a bit paranoïd all the time, speaking about his Bishop like he could strike him at anytime, but, eventually, the threat becomes real. The camp is found by Nico, and the Banditos spread to run from him. Separated from Torch, Clancy and the two teens he was protecting disapear.
Torch struggles to keep up with his best friend's absence, Clancy fights for his life under Nico's control, and the Bandito camp tries its best to stay alive after everything is destroyed.

Josh finds a moment to look away for just a few seconds, those seconds are what costs him to lose his side. his right hand.
His weapon is making his way towards the tower, antlers buckling against the tower as he climbs it.This wasn’t the plan, this wasn’t how it’s supposed to go.
