Summary
Stede sometimes liked to pretend he was the main character in a movie, preferably a Wes Anderson rom-com. It added a bit of whimsy to his life and he definitely needed, and deserved, some whimsy after 41 years without any. The bus gives him the most ‘main character’ energy.
Ed was not a public transportation guy. There were too many people who would either look at him, talk to him, or potentially get him sick — he didn’t need any of that. After a night drinking with Jack there’s no other option but for him to take the bus.
