Summary
This is a fic covering the Champions Island event for death battle champions, following a personal plot, interactions, arcs, ships, and an elimination order I came up with myself. So, it doesn't follow the elimination order of the actual Champions Island. The earlier chapters are more like one-shot interactions between the 16 characters that bounce around different dates and time early on in the game. I promise future ones will have a more natural structure to them.

Tanguish is Tango's hels, and they get along a lot better than most hels and their hermits should. Unfortunately, the universe wasn't made to house both of them. Helsmets were made to return to their hermits eventually, making a complete person.
Except what happens when the hels is the stronger of the two? Any chance to get ahead, to one up the biggest thorn in his side, the ones who’d been attempting to hunt Apocalypse since day one. He would take their hearts, again and again, as many times as was necessary, until they were dead and buried where even the moderator couldn’t bring them back.
And if his teammate handed him an opportunity on a silver platter, it would have been rude to refuse.

Her tail swayed in the void, disturbing nothing because there was nothing to disturb. She existed in a state of perpetual observation—everywhere and nowhere, seeing all and touching nothing. It was exactly as she had described it to her disciples before the reset.
But knowing what something would be like and experiencing it were different things.
Xoul stretched her wings, feeling the power thrumming through them. She was still a god. Still capable of reshaping reality with a thought. But she had chosen to be a passive observer, and so she would remain.
Even when it hurt.
