Lee Donghyuck, the Witch without a coven, desperate to live his life free and far away from oppression or abuse, finds himself accused of multiple murders. He didn't commit those murders, of course. But they happened in his vicinity, an anomaly that is enough to break the vows he'd taken to ensure his freedom. Now he needs to fix it, find out what exactly happened, solve a murder mystery, and get the coven off his back long enough to seek a permanent solution. All the while running from a fate that is seemingly catching up to him.
Mark Lee, a Homicide Detective determined to never leave a case unsolved, is at a loss when faced with four bodies ripped to shreds around what looked like a ritualistic affair. He can't seem to make sense of it, something is off about this. And the main suspect, Lee Donghyuck, there's something about that guy that Mark can't shake off. He's hiding something.
As Donghyuck and Mark work towards the same goal, they cross paths in the most unexpected scenarios...

If you asked most people to describe Moonlit Woods, they wouldn’t be able to say much more about it than it being a cute, little village. It has a farmer’s market, a lovely diner with good food, a street with a bunch of well-stocked shops and a library with dusty books and old local newspapers.
If you asked Donghyuck to describe Moonlit Woods, though, he would tell you about the streetlamp that turns into all the colors of the rainbow, or about the road sign that points you in the direction it thinks you need to go. He would tell you about the flowers that stay in bloom way past their season in the flowerbeds lining the streets and about the pastries that you can still smell far away from the bakery.
