Summary
Two years ago, Queen Oasis of the SandWings was found dead outside the walls of her own palace. Tensions have been building throught Pyrrhia, a war is on the brink of beginning and no one is doing anything to stop it. In fact, no one even seems to care.
Talon wasn't any different. Stars, a soldier is meant to live for war, and that's what Talon was. A SkyWing soldier, newly graduated from training and thrust into his first battle. But when things take a turn for the worse, and Talon finds himself with IceWing blood on his claws, he begins to question whether the blood and tears staining the land are worth fighting for a princess who he knows next to nothing about.

The determined dragoness did not consider herself one to balk at the intensity of war, but she also wasn't prepared for how quickly things could fall apart even as her dreams of glory (honestly Kestrel, what kind of skywing dreams about rainwings? Especially ones who haven't hatched yet? Sorry, sorry, I'll be quiet now…) became a reality.
Now, years later, Kestrel has gained both acclaim and experience. Despite this she was recently forced away from the battle front in order to participate in the Queen's breeding program. Kestrel, itching to get back out and fight for her tribe, has little interest in her unborn offspring. However, that moons-cursed egg will not get out of her head. Things change when she sees brand new dragonets, though. For a moment, it's the best night of her life… but, well, it's not fully her fault she's prone to tragedy. Whichever decision she makes, it will haunt her for the rest of her life.
