Summary
Celegorm is twenty-something, full of fire and bad decisions, and one exam away from failing out of college. Oromë is older, quieter, and gainfully employed-and has no business falling for a reckless intern with a barely-running pickup and a dog named Huan.
But wildfire season doesn’t just burn forests. It clears the dead wood.
Over long hikes, storm shelters, and sunrises, something takes root between them—messy, honest, and impossible to ignore. Celegorm is used to being the spark and running too hot. Oromë? He’s about to find out what it means to burn slow and steady.
This isn’t just a fling. Not anymore.
This is a controlled burn.

Summary
After the fall of the Fëanorians, Elrond and Elros are left to choose where they belong—caught between worlds.
On the windswept shores of Balar, they meet the young High King Gil-galad: kind, brilliant, and already breaking beneath the weight of his crown. What begins as mercy becomes devotion. Gil-galad offers Elrond a home and a place at his side; Elrond offers loyalty, love, and everything he doesn’t yet understand about himself.
Across years of war and peace, that bond deepens, twists, and endures—through duty, desire, and loss. When the fires of the Last Alliance burn out, Elrond must carry what remains: his king’s memory and the fragile hope that love can survive even the longest grief.
A story of belonging, devotion, and the long road toward healing.

Summary
Fingon, who was brought up to deal with family politics, would say that most of Turgon's problems result from him being the middle child of a middle child. Turgon rather thinks, actually, that most of his problems result from his cousins betraying him and his wife being dead.
This is a character study of Turgon: his place in the larger Finwean family, his unswaying devotion to Idril, his mourning for his wife, his relationship with the Vala Ulmo, and the development of the planning skills and artistic talent that would one day let him build the Hidden City.
Grief brings out different facets of people, and as they forge on from the Helcaraxë to Lake Mithrim and, in Fingon's case, to Angband, Turgon's struck-dumb mourning forces his father and siblings to find the best of themselves.
(The fic is a one-shot, but there's a brief Fingolfin-focused epilogue.)

Maedhros' post-Thangorodrim recovery. Done to death, I know, but not like this. An exploration into the intricacies of anatomy and psychology, and the very real complications of recovering from such a horrific event for both the victim and the onlookers.
Possibly distressing imagery - gore / post-traumatic stress disorders. So proceed with caution if sensitive to such topics.Bookmarked by BaccaratBlack

Summary
After Turgon’s death, there was no heir left to the throne.
Except, Idril told Galadriel, for Fingon’s son who had been fostered in secret in Gondolin.
Maeglin would have protested this deception, if he had known about her plan before.
