Summary
Vex’ahlia and her brother hunt monsters for gold.
Percy, a vampire, has a bounty on his head.
Vex is very good with a bow.
———
Vex slowly draws her bow as she hears the sound of quick and uneven footfalls far off on dry forest floor.
She sees the creature she’s hunting at a distance. It’s dark enough that the world is melting into darkvision monochrome, but she can see that the monster wears a coat, that it’s in a terrible hurry, and that it’s limping.
Vampires generally aren’t known for holding onto wounds. It was injured in the last minute or so—Vex isn’t the only one after the bounty.
Vex nocks a holy arrow. She should take it out quick, one shot, so she doesn’t need to rush in with a silver dagger and make things messy. She’s so much better with a bow.

Summary
If it gave him even the slightest chance of stopping the Vision Hunt Decree, Tomo would put his life on the line.
So he did.
His best friend, Kaedehara Kazuha, saw him die, struck by divine lightning.
And the Vision Hunt Decree remained.
But that’s not the whole story. What no one, not even Tomo knew was that a little Youkai owed Tomo her life. And she wasn’t about to let him die without saving him in return.
Tomo wakes up in the land of the Youkai as a kitsune, with very little control over his magic and no way back home to Inazuma or to his best friend.
But he’s never been one to back down when he’s told something is impossible.

Summary
Drow are quite inconveniently sensitive to daylight. Essek considers it a burden to both himself and his traveling companions.
When fighting off an onslaught of light-sensitive Aeorian spiders, Essek has to confront the fact that the Nein might not consider him an inconvenience at all.
———
The spiders pressed in further. Essek gave a flippant gesture with one arm, to the tune of ‘just do it already—I am not so fragile.’
‘Fajar’, Caleb said as he relented, hoisting the orb into the air. The driftglobe exploded like the sun itself.

Summary
Alhaitham paused. After a second, he started signing again. “I apologize for earlier. The situation was more serious than I first expected. From here on out, I can handle this. I don’t intend to bother you with my own problems.”
Kaveh scoffed, incredulous. “You don’t want to bother me? You nearly drowned at the dinner table. Have you ever even considered that I might actually be concerned for your wellbeing?”
Alhaitham stayed still. He slowly shrugged off his now soaking jacket, and laid it on the side of the tub.
“I can handle this on my own.”
“Oh really? You sure couldn’t handle it ten minutes ago.”Instead of replying, Alhaitham dipped underwater again for a few more breaths.
———
Alhaitham gets caught up in a ley line disturbance that leaves him with gills instead of lungs. Kaveh helps him through it.

Summary
“That girl in the back! She’s getting away!”
Chuuya whipped around to see that his men were right — one of their assailants was an ability user, and she was using her power to escape.
Shit.
Mori had been painfully clear when he’d assigned this mission. He expected no survivors.
Chuuya dropped his ability’s hold on the six or seven people around him, then kicked off of a nearby wall to propel himself at the girl. She was slowly dissipating into light, vanishing upwards into the ceiling, but before the edge of her coat could vanish Chuuya shot by like a dark bullet, reached out, and just barely grabbed it.
//
Chuuya gets transported to the past! Watch him struggle to figure out what the hell’s happening, then enlist the help of a young Oda to get back. But with the past altered, will he return to the same future he left behind?

Summary
These are the facts. Essek Thelyss is a traitor to the Dynasty. He has collaborated with the Cerberus Assembly on dunamantic research. His loyalties are an entirely unknown quantity, and likely nonexistent. He is, above all else, a liar.
Also, he all but lives in the neighborhood now, and it’s very uncomfortable.
