Flowers can define a person just like anything else can. Blue Roses for example, are unnatural and therefore symbolized as unattainable. In a romantic setting, it translates to unrequited love. Vax'ildan is defined by a blue rose and is left with no choice but to watch as the love of his life falls for his very twin in front of his own eyes.
