But we were wrong, look at the neck! It's way thicker and hangs lower, so it's got more protection if something mean ‘n nasty went for its neck.”
    Mira simply blinked in response, looking back at the features in question and feeling like she was watching some kind of incredibly cute documentary.

    Mira needs to get halfway across America in order to finally earn her parent's acceptance, no matter what gets in her way. Even if it has more than enough teeth to eat her alive, or more than enough love to show her what she truly needed.
