Summary
Imogen Temult, daughter of Relvin and Liliana Temult, couldn’t say her life was particularly eventful. In all her twenty-five years she had seen no other place than the direct surroundings of her hometown Gelvaan. Sitting tucked between two high-rising plateaus and a lush pine forest, the town didn’t have much going for it other than outstretched fields of corn and wheat, alternating with pastures where sheep and other cattle roamed and grazed. Laudna had wandered for quite the while before by happenstance stumbling upon a small ramshackle abandoned cabin in the middle of some pine tree woods. She had been unlucky in her pursuit for a place to settle and stay for pretty much all her adult life and had grown quite accustomed to the lone roaming of places just outside of civilization. Often she had snuck into and slept in sheds, in haystacks or — in the not unlikely case she had to flee into the woods once again — in old burrows made by wolves or other wild animals. This cabin right here was a lucky find indeed and she intended to make it her home. (...)

Her therapy session that week had gone well. Really well, actually. So well that when her therapist had suggested Imogen "take a small step out of her comfort zone", Imogen had seized her rare confidence and decided she’d visit a coffee shop.
