Summary
After the death of his beloved Aunt May, Peter Parker’s world crumbled. Not only had he lost the only family he had ever truly known, but he also faced the harsh reality of being a 15 year old orphan. With no other immediate relatives to care for him, Peter gets placed in the care of his last living relative—his paternal grandfather, Richard Parker Sr. and his much younger wife, Cynthia. Peter had never been close to his grandfather. Richard was a cold, strict man, a retired army General. Richard Sr. harbours bitterness towards Peter and thinks of him as a curse. Peter still had one thing he held onto—his life as Spider-Man. Being Spider-Man is his escape, his way of making up for the guilt he felt over May's death and Uncle Ben’s before her.
