    Tommy's family is shit.

    They see him as a form of entertainment, a fun little human boy they can coddle and display. They throw him away once they've gotten bored of him, neglecting him for the next 2 years. He's sick and tired of their awfulness.

     

    So he runs.
    He runs into the forbidden forest, where he meets a fae named Dream. A fae, who was originally hellbent on kidnapping him to become his eternal servant. Instantly, he gets way too attached to the kid; who in turn needs a way to escape the clutches of his abusive family.

     

    "So whadaya say about becoming a fae with me?"

     

    Thus making: a consentual kidnapping. That's not how faerie kidnapping is supposed to work.
