Summary
Detroit had been shaken by two revolutions. One more prominent in the citizen's mind than the other. Androids had stood up for their rights and they had been successful: Android laws were on their way to become legally binding, no matter what status – whether deviant, machine or like Nines: deviant but stubbornly remaining machine.
The arrangements werewolves had fought tooth and nail for however had become their downfall. Treated like slaves at best and ever since humans had built themselves their more pleasant servants, utterly useless. They spent their lifetime in overfilled holding stations or at the mercy of Detroit’s criminals. The peaceful coexistence they had wished for so long seemingly forever out of reach as they were slowly forgotten about.
Gavin had seen both lives and only realised how lucky he had been in the beginning as it was already too late.
Together they both get a chance to grow. Gavin gets a new chance at hope and safety. Meanwhile Nines starts to embrace his feelings more and more. Together they try to battle the injustice this world faced them both with and fight to establish the peace history denied them.- Words:
