“Look, I get what you’re trying to do,” Prince Shouto said, still not looking at him. “But you don’t need to go out of your way for me. This ‘marriage’ is a joke. We both know this is just for the alliance. We hardly need to speak to each other unless it has to do with our duties. I’ll perform basic duties as your queen, but we don’t need to be involved with each other beyond that. So stop wasting both of our time.”
This was what he’d been afraid of. “I’m not excited about this either,” Izuku confessed. “But we’re going to be married in a few days. We will be tied together for the rest of our lives. So we should get to know each other. I’m not saying let’s go on dates and be involved, but we should at least be friends. If we hate each other or are strangers, then when we do have to act like a married couple, it’ll feel awful.”
“...Friends?” he asked.
“Yeah!” Izuku cried. “We should at least try.”
“Fine, I’ll allow you to show me around, but I make no promises of friendship.”
“Tolerance then?”
“Perhaps.” He turned back to Izuku. “I suppose I will see you tomorrow. Goodnight, Prince Izuku.”
Izuku smiled, happy for the small victory. “Goodnight, Prince Shouto.”

“The bleeding’s not stopping,” Bakugou pressed his hand against the wound, ignoring the pained gasps that the other boy let escape at the action. “It’s not fucking stopping!”
Aizawa ripped another piece of fabric away and pressed it against the wound, watching as it too quickly grew wet with blood. It didn’t help and Todoroki was quickly bleeding out and now the puddle under him was spreading like a black hole, dark and consuming as if it would swallow him whole.
“Sensei, fucking do something,” Bakugou pleaded from his side, voice cracking and hands bathed in blood.
When his student’s life is on the line, Aizawa desperately does anything he can to get him out alive.
