She felt a minute amount of tension melt off of her as the music washed over her like a soothing balm on burnt skin. This is what she needed. She let her eyes flutter closed and her body sway in time with the music, idly, she hummed in harmony with the music, feeling the buzz in her head as she locked chords with the instrument.
And then, as soon as it started, which is to say far too soon, the song ended, Primrose very carefully set the viola down and sat next to Nadia, “Is that one of your father’s songs?” they asked.
She simply nodded, staring at her hands in her lap, picking nervously at a hangnail.
“It’s beautiful.”
OR Nadia misses home and goes to the only person who might be able to do something about it

“Am I dead?” He asked right as they passed the art room.
Wally slowed to a stop and turned to him, “you sure you wanna do this here?” And the sentance… well in an action film the words would sound threatening but coming from Wally, this football playing ghost(?) they just seemed genuine. Maybe slightly concerned.
“Should we not?” Charley’s voice was shaking. He didn’t know how to stop it.
Wally shrugged, “there’s nothing wrong with it. I just figured I’d find some place a bit more secluded. Talk to you one on one before the others find you… they can be overwhelming. They mean well but… y’know.”
Charley could confidently say he did not know.
Or Charley and Wally’s first meeting.

Summary
Stanley is running from destiny - just like he's been doing since being spat out of the Parable. Somewhere out there, he has a soulmate. Stanley knows where they are. They know where he is. But he's been running, and running, and running - so fast that he's never even heard their voice. It's a god-awful idea to run from them, even as he searches for the one person he really does want to find, and he knows it. He knows it's hurting them, and he knows it's hurting him - but he can't stop.
Meanwhile...
The Narrator has spent seven years chasing his soulmate, running on a precious few convictions. But those are running out the farther his fated partner runs away. He's starting to take what he thinks is the hint - and accept that he may never find Stanley, either. He can't stop without all but destroying himself...but he might just end up unable to continue. Not a damn thing has changed for seven years, and it doesn't seem likely to happen anytime soon.
Somehow, this pattern has to break - but in whose favor?
