    Summary

It was ten months after the nonapocalypse — the first month and a half having been primarily occupied with processing the fact of the continued existence of the world, the rest spent attempting to work up the nerve he needed — that Aziraphale finally found himself ready to tell Crowley how he felt.

And what better way to go about doing that, after all, than through the words of the one poet whose writing most intimately, accurately, and eloquently expressed the same feelings that Aziraphale himself now wished to convey?

    ~ ~ ~

Crowley stared down at the lines unfurling across the page, eyes tracking words meticulously written in a familiar hand.

Crowley recognized the words he was reading: words of love, and devotion, and an eternity of unending care. He knew those words. Knew their rhythm, their melody, their inspiration. Knew how they felt spoken on his tongue, flowing from his pen, floating in his head and in his heart.

“Not good,” Remus said tightly, already reaching for his wand.

“Bloody hell,” Sirius muttered, eyes wide.

Before anyone could react further, three sigils tore free from the page like molten brands. It floated in the air before James, Lily, and Regulus. The light engulfed them, wrapping around their figures in blinding arcs.

“Don’t move!” Lily shouted, even as her outline blurred in the glow.

Regulus tried to wrench himself free, but the magic caught him fast, pulling him upright. His glare shot toward James through the searing light. “This is your fault—”

And then the glow swallowed them whole.

    The dormitory vanished.

    Or…

In which three people destined to die have to deal with a fifteen-year-old chosen one, the future, fate, and the horrors of romance.

"He- he said I am-" Kon starts, sobbing loudly at the crack of Tim's neck, " 'm not like Luthor. I, I'm not-"

"What?" He stiffened, bringing Kon impossibly closer to his chest, "You are not. You are Kon and we love you for being Kon."

"I'm no villain, you know it, right? I'm not," Kon backs up a little to look at Tim's eyes, "I'm good, right?"

“You need to get better so that I can kick your ass properly,” Jason tells him, and Tim puffs out this low, long-suffering sigh.

“You have no idea how to be normal about this, do you?” Tim says, so matter-of-fact that it floors Jason, and what is this, some sort of impromptu therapy session in the wake of casual attempted murder?

“If you don’t shut the fuck up and eat your soup,” Jason says darkly. Fucking Robins.
