Summary
When Harry started seeing a mind healer, he’d thought that it was a pretty safe assumption that most of his time would be spent discussing Voldemort. Nope! Apparently, most of the time is spend discussing the Dursley’s, and how that impacts his love life. And also his relationship with Hermione. Not that those two are related. But there might be some (okay, a lot) of panicking because, for some reason, his mental boxes seem to think that they are.
Or, Harry’s internal, slightly disjointed, train of thought as he slowly realizes that he loves Hermione more than just platonically, with all the subtlety of a Hippogriff in a China shop.

Summary
After the war, nothing fits the way it used to. Grief lingers, the future feels uncertain, and the wizarding world is far too interested in Harry Potter’s every move.
When Harry and Hermione decide to return to Hogwarts for the year they never got to have, they also make a practical decision: to pretend they’re together, if only to buy themselves some peace. It’s meant to be practical. Temporary. Comforting.Somehow, eventually they start kissing “because someone might be watching,” even when no one is.
Somewhere between trauma, rebuilding, and an eighth year at Hogwarts, they stop pretending. Healing, it turns out, doesn’t always happen the way you plan.
