Hermione Granger hated herself for being intrigued by the dark creatures that unknowingly roamed around the Forbidden Forest at nighttime. Hermione could feel her brain whirring and ticking with every little theory about what loomed beyond the safety of the castle walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
She couldn't switch her brain off when she found herself stalking towards the formation of trees that made a large circle, and in the middle of it — dazzling in the moonlight — was a large, huddled-over creature.
And as Hermione moved in closer, keeping her footsteps careful and purposeful, she could finally see what the creature was.
It was a werewolf.
