“It’s a gadget I’ve been working on for quite some time.” Neuron spoke “It causes light to fracture and due to this will turn things invisible to the naked eye. Observe.” Neuron turned a dial, making the gadget give away a quiet hiss.
Heartbeat and Bifrost could only stare in shock and awe as Neuron’s shape started to flicker and blur and then as if someone had edited out a greenscreen, Neuron vanished from sight.

By pure chance, and absolute hot-headed and stubbornness, Kai ends up going to the museum instead of Lloyd. Cue the chaos.
Now all Morro wants to do is see the similarities. Kai wants to see the differences again... and the ability to mind his own business.
Or I've been starved for fics between Morro and Kai possessed au's and decided to make my own version of events. In research, I found a couple of Pinterest art ideas and a few Tumblr prompts.
Also, I wrote the first six chapters last year, but I just never finished the story then, and found and edited them this week. I decided I might as well post them. Who knows, maybe I will find the motivation to actually finish it?

After he’d felt every last spark of the fire in his blood be drained from him, goosebumps raised on his arms. Everything felt wrong. For a while, he thought he might be dying, when his arms began to shake and the chilled air tasted thin and weak. He had stared down at his own trembling hands, clenching his teeth together to keep himself from hyperventilating.
“You’re cold, Kai,” Lloyd explained, with pity on his face, when Kai shortly warned him he may have been dying. Lloyd’s shock had quickly faded to something sad. “You’re just cold.”

Or, a what-if: The ninja's elemental powers took a while to restore after they first lost them. Kai finds out that the world without the fire in his veins is completely different than the one he knows. And he learns what hot and cold really mean the painful way.
