How very wrong she is about that last part. It’s almost funny.

When MC takes a job moonlighting as a security guard for a gala with a couple of her fellow Hunters to make ends meet, she finds herself grappling with whether or not she has any business being as annoyed as she is seeing Rafayel there with another woman.
In turn, Rafayel finds himself sorely distracted from his mission by the tantalizing presence of his once and hopefully future mate.
A bit of spice to get us all through the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. It can be considered a short prequel to "For Want of a Heart" as we will be revisiting Renault Hospital later on in that fic but you do not need to have read that series to understand this, and it could be considered a spicy little stand alone.
