Acting had always been something Leo had found interesting. Watching people be able to mimick real emotions, and make it look so real is something he found fascinating. Sadly, due to his obvious lying, he assumed he would be bad at it.
And only as his perfect family began to crumble did he realize that he'd been doing it his entire life.

Or at resisting the bone-deep instincts to bare his neck, dive to his knees, trade out reality for falsehoods if only it meant five more minutes without the end of the world.
Raph blinked. “Seventeen. You’re seventeen.” He messed with the remote, but he didn’t change the channel. Just picked at the battery casing, popping it in and out, in and out. “Our birthday passed while you were – you know. With him.” He finally pressed down on one of the buttons and turned down the volume. “Do you know how long that was?”
Forever. Ten thousand years. A lifetime and an eon and the same exact stretch of time that it’d taken to shape the mountains from dust, erode stone until it became smooth.
“It was about four months,” Raph said, and Leo felt something crack.
or, getting Leo back was the easy part. Leo is still wholly convinced that his love for the Shredder supersedes all logic. After he's spent months at the Shredder's mercy, the hard part is convincing him not to go running back to the man he calls master.

A century has passed since a strange chemical wiped out mankind, mutating all into strange beasts. The last of humanity has survived on a spaceship called the Ark. When it runs low on supplies and lowering the population becomes necessary, they send 100 delinquents down to Earth in the hopes that it is survivable again.
April O'Neil is among these 100. Once on the ground, her people are forced to face trials beyond their wildest imaginations, and soon find the mutants have survived and inherited the Earth. Will war with them be inevitable? Will humans ever be able to make peace with them? And, above all, what will being on the ground reveal about her own origins?

Hamato Yoshi rules the coalition peacefully but worries for his four sons. One of them will take his place as Heda when he passes, as it is tradition for the heirs to fight to the death in a conclave. Only the winner will emerge with his life.
But his concerns for the future must be set aside when a spaceship from the sky brings down an army of humans. His sons' opinions on how to deal with them differ, but one thing is for sure: their lives will never be the same again.

"You're pushing me away just like you always did!" Raph accused, earning him a scoff in contempt. But he went on anyway. "Why!? Why is it so hard for you to admit you're hurting too!? What are you so afraid of!?"
Leo opened his mouth as if to answer. But changing his mind he turned around to continue walking down the street. Raph followed, matching his slowed pace while Leo didn't have the energy to deal with another yelling match right now so listened instead.
"I want things to go back to the way they were before with us."
No response, Leo kept on walking.
"Or if they can't go back that way there's nothing saying we can't work on this, together."
For reasons he didn't quite understand Leo walked straight past his apartment building, continuing on down the wet New York street.
"I don't want to leave things they way they are between us. It's been too long, don't you think?"
