Summary
There were very few things in Harry Potter's life that he was certain of. There was one absolute certainty though; he'd felt it in his bones for as long as he could remember. He, Harry Potter, was dead. The living people around him might not believe, but the dead sure did. Oh well, it doesn't impact his life much. Besides, it's nice to get help with his schoolwork from his parents.

Summary
Peter is supposed to stay at Ned’s house after the Homecoming dance. Ned’s the only person he has to depend on when his body is bruised and busted. Anyone else who knows Peter is Spider-Man has brushed him off or is outright disappointed in him. Cue Ned’s rabid demon mode that is entirely fed up.
Seeing Ned no longer willing to tolerate Peter being disregarded sparks a change in Peter. If he doesn’t deserve it, then neither does Ned. He won’t let his brother be pushed aside by anyone, be they hero, villain, or civilian.

Summary
For the first time in two years, captured through cameras and preserved for the rest of time, Spider-man didn't pull his punches. He didn't calculate his strength.
Spider-man let loose.
He was going 100%.
And as he did, the world goes quiet.
Or: how it finally hammered home for Steve that saving the people was just as important as saving the world
Though I recommend reading the first two parts, What it takes (to be a hero) and Making of a hero for a backstory, this can be read as a standalone.

Summary
Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.
Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.
