Or maybe they’re just bullies who want to see the Forsaken afraid. Which means they’ll be cruel about it, and all her previous interpretations of their bullshit were wrong, and they might really have kept her alive—kept her not-dead—just to make her watch.
She can believe that. It’s not even hard.
