Midoriya let a shy smile grace his face, his hand not holding a bag of groceries going up to scratch the back of his neck nervously.
”Yeah.”
He quietly stuffed the box back into his pocket, choosing to scratch at the plastic for the rest of the walk than to smoke.
He tried to ignore another flutter in his stomach when he saw Midoriya’s eyes light up.

Catra is at her lowest point having been publicly excommunicated from the Horde. Adora is at her lowest point having destroyed She-Ra’s sword to save the universe. Tempers are high and the risk of loss is low. They run into each other in the whispering woods and finally have the conversation they’ve needed to have all along. Feelings are hashed out. Feelings are hurt.. but then maybe they’ll find some common ground to stand on.

Alternate ending - This is my take on season 5 starting from the end of season 4. A couple changes to start off with - Catra doesn’t get teleported up to Horde Prime’s ship, neither does Glimmer. After their fight, Glimmer teleports back with Bow to the city to assess the damage of the latest battle while Catra escapes to the whispering woods.

Summary
