Noodle took a deep, steadying breath. Then another. Then another. “We’ve been over these ones before, Willy.”
“Could you maybe—”
Before he could get any further, Noodle shook her head sharply. “I’d really appreciate it if you didn’t keep distracting me tonight, Willy. Some of us actually want to learn. If you get stuck, I can help. But please. Try? For me?”
When Willy is struggling with a reading lesson and hears Noodle struggling to learn a new language, all he wants to do is offer his help. Noodle just wants one evening where she can put her own studies first.
