The customer cuts him off with a pursed-lip shake of his head, just enough that Namjoon sees a trace of pink hair move in front of his ear. “No, no. I mean… which finish is easiest to paint over? When I’m done with this one?”
Namjoon looks at the pink-haired customer, then looks down at the soft blue paint sample. “Why would you paint over it, though? It’s so delicate and refreshing at the same time. This is not a blue that has hurt anyone, ever in its life. This blue makes croissants on winter mornings and fluffs the comforter before getting into bed. Why are you already planning its demise?”
The customer’s mouth falls open slightly, the small pout exaggerated by a wrinkle forming between his brows. “That… was illuminating.”
