There are many things that Ben could have tolerated about his parents’ divorce. That his mother had finally had it with his father’s borderline illegal—or rather, as he liked to put it, borderline legal—company, the shady activities it covered that would doubtlessly end her political career if a reporter got hold of them; that his father had finally had it with the way his mother nags, because sure, he’d thought it was hot twenty years ago, but he is in fact an adult who can actually keep his shit together—all that he would have gotten. He’d have been wrecked, but he’d have gotten it.
His dad leaving his mom for a nineteen-year-old gold-digger though, and his mother not even putting up a fight—that had caught him by surprise.
That had hurt.
Be nice to her, Ben, his mother had said on the phone when he’d spoken to her for the first time in five years. She just lost your father.

Summary
Ben Solo does not like to be touched. He has never accepted a massage from any of the pretty young women Snoke likes to send to his changing room, white towels draped over their arms and smelling of oils and incense. Aside from a few misguided, alcohol-fueled trysts, he doesn’t remember the last time that someone has laid their hands on him outside of a movie set.
But the sweet brush of Rey’s fingers on his skin is like heaven. Ben is sure he is melting on her exam table. The firm press of her fingertips continue dragging up the cords of his neck, leaving goosebumps in their wake. He feels his lips parting gently to the cool air, trembling.
“Is this all right?” she murmurs, sugar-sweet.
“Yes,” he tries to say. He prays he didn’t let out a deep groan instead.
OR
Ben Solo refuses to take a stunt double and pays the price when he breaks his leg filming his latest action blockbuster. His new physical therapist, Rey Sanders, seems to be the only person in Hollywood who doesn’t recognize the infamous Kylo Ren – and for some reason, he finds himself fighting to keep it that way.

Maz, her foster mom, had told Rey that “if she didn’t get off her lazy ass and do something productive, she would get her phone confiscated for the next month.” So, here she is: sweating profusely in the smallest pair of shorts she could find, trying her damn hardest to cut down the grass that hasn’t been mowed in like, ten freakin’ years.

Summary
Being an orphaned foster kid hasn't been the best experience Rey could have had in her life, but it gets plenty worse after an unfortunate incident in eighth grade leaves her the target of bullies for three years. At seventeen, she decides to finally listen to her friends, face her fears, and try out for the school musical (even though she'll have to be in the same room as Ben Solo, her worst enemy) instead of just playing flute in the school band. It turns out to be quite a bit more than she'd bargained for (old fears, rivals, and worst of all, emotions) but after all, you never grow unless you step out of your comfort zone--as Ms. Holdo, the drama teacher, is fond of saying.
