Chapter Text
Tears flowing freely
I call out to the abyss
Emptiness greets me
and echoing sobs reply
My sole comfort is myself
Beneath pale moonlight,
I pluck midnight’s purple bloom
Fragrant and divine
Fragile beauty in my hands
My own to want and to keep
In sweet summer heat
I find solace in your arms
Within my heart, your name sleeps
Pretty eyes meet mine
I lose myself in their depths
A fine way to drown
She spins in a dance,
singing her own cheerful tune
The small-minded seethe
They cannot stand those who find
joy in being different
Weeping tears of blood
my heart wails for some relief
but grief has no cure
”They’re my other half”
I take issue with this phrase
It threatens self love
If hearts are truly born torn,
how can we love our lone selves?
