“I love you,” he said. He had thought them, so he said them, because he couldn’t find any more reason not to. He loved Jesper, and wanted him to know it.
“Wha–?” Jesper blinked up from his papers, thoroughly taken aback. It had just been a normal morning, of him sipping his sweet coffee and eating a cinnamon muffin and reading the mail to Wylan. The breeze in the air was light, ruffling the flowers and making the curls on Wylan’s forehead move. He had to keep himself from staring, else he would never actually finish that morning’s reading. He had been in the middle of a sentence, reading about Third Harbor, when Wylan had interrupted him to say those words.
“I love you,” Wylan repeated, chewing on his bottom lip a bit.
