Chapter Text
6 Years ago. A year after Lilith’s disappearance.
He tried to stay composed as he walked to Heaven’s Embassy, but inside he was terrified.
He wasn’t sure how it had quite come to this, but he was going to be having a meeting Adam, The First Man.
That morning Dad had called him asking him attend the meeting in his steed.
He didn’t think he was quite the proper person to replace him in this case. Sure he’d attended a lot of meetings for his Dad in the last few months as well as picking up the slack for the ones his mom was missing too, but one with Heaven? Was he capable enough? What if he messed up?
But Dad has asked, and he couldn’t just say no could he? Since Mom disappeared out of nowhere a year ago he’d been for better word, bad. He’d never seen his Dad like this or at least this bad. Him and Mom splitting hurt him, but Mom going missing, broke him.
He'd began isolating himself from everything, even him and Charlie. It didn’t affect Charlie as much because they were never close especially after the split and she was always more of a Mummy’s girl, but it affected him badly because he and Dad were close, because he'd was a Daddy’s boy and had been ever since he was young.
It hurt him to see his Dad like this and he tried everything to make it easier for him.
So when his Dad had called and asked him to do this, he hadn’t hesitated in agreeing. He could do this for him.
He stopped in front of the large golden doors, his journey to the Embassy ended and gulped.
Okay, this was it.
He pulled one of the heavy doors open and quickly slipped inside, the door slammed heavily shut behind him, the slam echoing through the large room he stepped into.
He slowly turned as he took a look around the room. It was really nice. Everything was so clean, bright and so..heavenly looking and so unlike Hell. It was so strange that something like this was even in Hell.
His heels clopped on the polished floors as he walked to the right door, the one that Dad had told him the meeting would be taking place in and noticed that the door was already open. He took a peek inside.
It was completely dark, like no-one was even there. Had he missed the meeting? Shit, he couldn’t have right?!
“H-Hello?” His voice slightly wavered as he stepped into the darkness. “Hello? I’m here for a meeting with Adam?” It was eerie walking into complete darkness with no idea what could be inside. Maybe he should find a light switch.
Suddenly the lights clicked on without warning and he stumbled backwards in surprise, catching himself against something, as a figure appeared at the end of a long baby blue oval table.
It was a person, or well it looked like one.
He let go of what he’d grabbed, which was the corner of the table and straightened, his eyes running up and down the person.
The person was tall, very tall, even whilst sitting. They had pure black skin and two golden eyes with no irises or pupils and on their head was two large black horns that curved backwards and were tipped gold at the ends. They wore a large baggy white robe with some grey designs on it, with golden enlarged sleeves. On their back sat two huge golden wings and above there their head floated a glowing halo.
The person looked confused as their eyes fell on him. “Who the fuck are you? Where’s good ol’ Luci?” They were male then. It was hard to tell with no obvious features.
If this guy was waiting for Lucifer, then this must be Adam, the angel who he was meeting with, The First Man. Huh, he didn’t look how he’d expected him to at all, or even sound like it either. He sounded like a rock singer or something with the slight growl and lowness to his voice.
Where was the angelicness? He would have mistaken the guy for a demon if it wasn’t for the wings and halo.
“Adam.” He bowed his head politely in greeting. “I am Draconis Morningstar but you can call me Draco, The second child of Lucifer and Lilith and Prince of Hell. I am attending this meeting in his steed today as he unfortunately could not attend.”
“Huh.” Adam raised a brow. “I didn’t even know they had a another fucking one.” He turned his head back to the exorcist angel, that he had just noticed, who was stood beside him. “Did you Lute?”
“No sir.” The exorcist angel, Lute, answered instantly, her tone cold. “I did not.”
Rude much. His expression soured slightly. “Well they did. Nice to meet you.” Keep being professional Drake.
“Nice to meet you too.” Adam reached out his hand. He reached out to take it and was met with nothing. Adam’s hand fizzled and turned pixelated for a second. A hologram.
“HAHAHAHA!!” Adam cackled, leaning back in his chair and holding his stomach. “I fucking got you!! HA, its been so fucking long since I could do that to someone!!” He continued cackling.
His expression soured further into a frown. “Ha ha.” He said in a monotone voice, fed up of this already. So Adam was one of those. This was seriously the First Man? A big man-child?
Any of the earlier fear he had for this meeting was gone and replaced with the need to get it over with as quick as possible.
He went and sat down at the far end of the table, the furthest away from Adam. He composed himself and set his hands in front of him on the table, his back straight. “So Adam..”
“Call me Dick Master.” Adam interrupted him, giving him a wink.
His brow rose in annoyance at being interrupted, but he didn’t let his annoyance show in any other way. “Adam, you called this meeting with my Dad. What did you need to discuss?” His tone was the epitome of professionalism, one he’d picked up in the recent months of multiple meetings.
“Heyyy. Slow down hot stuff.” Adam gave him shit-eating grin, leaning on his hands on the table. “Before we jump into all the boring stuff. Why don’t we get to know one another first? After all we just met right and I barely fucking knew you even existed. Its only polite right?”
He’d rather be doing anything else right then but against his better judgment, he agreed. “Of course. If thats what you want, lets start with that."
———
He severely regretted agreeing.
He’d heard more about vagina’s and Adam’s dick than he ever had in his life in the last..hour? 30 minutes? He didn’t even know. More than he’d ever wanted to know about vaginas as a gay man and more than what he’d ever wanted to know about the man in front of him. Was this guy compensating for something or what? He hadn’t had the chance to even say one word himself, so so much for getting to know one another. Fucking Hell, this guy could talk for fucking England.
He gritted as the word ‘vagina’ was brought up again. For fuck’s sake. Did this guy have an off switch or something? He was not about to sit and listen to this bullshit any longer or he was going to explode.
He stood. “Do you ever talk about anything else than fucking sex you fucking prick?!” He interrupted Adam’s most recent spiel. BANG!
Adam’s rambling stopped, his mouth open and paused, his golden eyes on him surprise like no-one had ever dare interrupt him before. Lute, the angel at his side’ eyes narrowed, looking ready to attack.
His chest heaved and he looked down with wide eyes to see cracks on the table, his fists in the middle of the cracks. Had he just slammed his fists down on the table? He noticed his long demon black claws had come out and were digging into palms, slightly drawing blood. Had he turned into his demon form also? It was then he noticed the new weight on his head and reached to touch it. His horns were out. Shit he fucking had!
He was surprised at himself, he hadn’t meant to do that at all. He’d meant to just simply mean to calmly get the guys attention and him to stop and get the meeting back on task. He hadn’t meant to shout. He hadn’t meant to slam his fists down on the table and break it. He hadn’t meant to transform into his demon form.
But he had. It was actually kind of scary. He’d lost control and all because of him.
He forced his demon form to retract and slowly and timidly sat back down in his seat, resting his hands in his lap, feeling a little afraid of himself.
Adam still was frozen in his place, his mouth still agape and eyes wide. It was actually quite off-putting because it looked so off to see on his face despite only meeting him that day.
Lute seemed to take Adam’s silence as a chance to step in. “How dare you say that to Adam. “ She snarled, an angelic spear appearing in her hand as she began to approach." I’ll-.”
“Hold that thought bitch.” Adam had come back to himself, holding up his hand to stop Lute in her place, but not looking at her, only at him, his eyes slightly narrowed.
“But sir-"
“Uh uh.” Adam waggled his finger, still not looking at her “Thanks for the back up danger tits, but I can handle this.” He said firmly.
Lute sent him a hateful glare before returning back where she had been standing.
Adam’s eyes looked him up and down before his lips slowly curled into a wide amused grin. “Oooh so cats got claws.” He chuckled lowly. He clicked his fingers and the cracks on the table disappeared like it had never happened. “Was wondering whether your parents temper was hereditary."
“I apologise for my unprofessionial behaviour.” He tried to keep his voice calm and professional. “But as much as I love hearing about you escapades. We need to get back on track. What is this meeting even about?”
“Oh that, uh nothing.” Adam waved his hand dismissively. "I just like scheduling these to mess with your pops and to brag about how many of his people I killed. Its always fucking hilarious to see his face. But since he’s not here, that plan has kinda fizzled.” He wiggled his fingers on ‘fizzled.’ “Just like ol’ Luci to fucking mess everything up.”
His lip pressed at the insult against his Dad, but he didn’t retaliate. His fingers dug into his palms.
“Of course. Then if my presence isn’t need, I will be going.” He stood from his chair, he gave a short bow of his head and began to walk towards the door.
“This was fun! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. See you next year babe!” Adam called from behind him. If he’d looked back he would have seen Adam grinning and wiggling his fingers in a wave like the smug asshole he is.
“See you next year Adam.” He said coldly. ‘Though I fucking hope not.’ He added internally.
The door of the room slammed behind him, leaving him alone.
He hoped that this would be the last time he saw Adam.
But it wasn’t the last time. He didn’t know it then, but it was the start of many, many meetings with the annoying prick.
