Chapter Text

"I can't believe I allowed you three to talk me into this," Kara chuckled as she stood with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on a small country road many miles outside of National City.

"It's a race, Super," Knuckles replied back in his usual matter of fact way of speaking, still having not quite mastered the art of distinguishing and doing real humour from the way he did it, "You get challenged, you must take it up or else back out and risk being pronounced a coward."

"I know that, Knuckles," Kara laughed, Sonic and Tails shaking their heads but also chuckling themselves, "But seriously, you three have proven time and again every time we've done this fun between us, and also with Clark whenever we've visited him on general visitation period, or needed his help, or he us, with whatever, that you always leave me in the dust."

"Whereas Clark does the exact opposite, when he leaves us in the dust," Sonic remarked, "No matter how many times we've raced him, he always emerges on top every time."

"Well, that's what ya get when it's Earth's more signature and well known Kryptonian figure, and who unexpectedly beat his supposed to be older cousin in age when she got knocked into and stuck in deep sleep for almost a century quarter in some Phantom Zone place before at last ending up on Earth, you challenge," Tails pointed out, again he, Sonic and Kara all chuckling at the words.

"Are we going to do this then or not?" Knuckles asked, bringing up the topic at hand again.

"Yes yes yes, Knucks, we are," Sonic answered, "Patience is a useful virtue, you know."

"Patience isn't one of my strongholds, Hedgehog," Knuckles replied with, mouth forming a scowl.

"OK, so remember, just like the many times before, this isn't a competition, guys," Tails said.

"Well, it is sorta a competition," Sonic put in, "But it's not like a macho, uh, measuring thing, you know."

"First one to reach the target destination is the winner," Knuckles added, turning to Kara, "If you lose, Super, we shall have the honour of bidding you a fond and memorable farewell from the team."

"You know I always lose every time," Kara laughed again, pointing out the obvious, "There's just no catching up with you three in a straight run."

"Well, you never know, there's always a first time for something new to happen, Kara," Sonic said, a mischievous look on his face.

"Ah well, then if I win, Alex said something about taking us out for ice cream," Kara replied with her own mischievous twinkle.

"Yay, ice cream," Knuckles cheered, pumping his right fist in the air, and then lowered it. "Will it have grapes in it, as I like to have it?" he asked

Yet again, Kara chuckled. "I'm sure Alex will remember what your certain taste is, Knuckles," she said, "After all, the last thing is for you to get a little cross and throw a wobbler using those boxing gloved fists of yours, as only you know how."

"I do not throw a wobbler," Knuckles responded with in his usual manner, Sonic and Tails laughing themselves. "What is a wobbler?" the Echidna then asked.

Sonic shook his head. "You really do still have so much to learn, you know, pal," he told his pal.

"Anyway, shall we do this?" Tails asked, raising the race topic once more.

"Yes yes, come on," Kara responded, she and the three creatures moving to position themselves on the road as if they were on a real racetrack, Kara behind the trio, "But if I win, I get to tell everyone."

"We shall see, Super, we shall see," Knuckles remarked.

"Right then," Sonic said, acting as referee. "On your marks..." the four shifted their bodies into starting positions like real human athletes, faces looking straight ahead, mouths set, ready to race. "Get set..." small bursts of electricity fizzled and cracked on Sonic and Knuckles, Tails' twin tails becoming blurs, "And... Go." And with that, they were off, Tails and Kara both taking to the air the moment they started, flying just above Sonic and Knuckles' heads. Almost immediately though, the hedgehog, echidna and fox began pulling away from Kara, she doing her best to at least keep them in her sights as they raced through the countryside, the landscape around them nothing but a blur.

"See? No matter how many times I do so, I'll always be hopeless against you three," Kara said loudly with a laugh, sure that the trio could hear her. And as if in response, Sonic and Knuckles turned and began running backwards, Knuckles folding his arms as he did so while Sonic gave Kara a mock two fingered salute.

"Yahoo, Kara," he called out in a sing-song voice.

"Catch us if you can, Super," Knuckles added gruffly, Tails laughing as Sonic and Knuckle turned back round the correct way, and then as the skyscapers of National City appeared in the distance the three of them were off, speeding fully out of Kara's sight in fast flashes of red, blue and orange light.

"Oooh, the cheek," Kara remarked with a shake of the head but still smiling, and did her best to pick up the pace with her flying speed, but it was hopeless, and by the time she reached their destination, which was of course her own apartment, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, as well as her sister Alex, were there waiting as Kara flew through the open balcony doors and landed in the lounging area.

"Victory for the trio once more," Sonic proudly declared, sharing a high five with Tails and a very soft fist bump with Knuckles.

"It's always a win-win for you three every time my sister and you do one of your fun runs," Alex laughed, "Whereas Clark leaves you lot barely past the starting line before he comes zooming right back again as if he ain't actually moved at all."

"He may be the fastest thing in the air, Danvers Jr," Knuckles said in his usual manner, "But we're still the fastest creatures on the ground, and nobody has ever yet been able to rival us in that sense."

"Still counts though with Alex's words," Tails responded with.

Any further conversation though was cut short as a breach suddenly opened, the two sisters and the three alien creatures turning to it, Kara and the trio bracing themselves ready for whatever may emerge from it, only for Joe West, his son Wally West dressed in his Kid Flash uniform, and Patty Spivott to step out, all looking a little afraid, the breach disappearing as soon as they did so.

"Wally?!" Kara exclaimed, remembering him of course as well as Patty, who she'd met for the first time and learned Barry had re-established himself with in relationship terms after having broken up with Iris at some point after the Dominator stuff, from their first meeting after she and Barry had been retrieved from the musical fantasy world the annoying prat known as the Music Meister had put them in.

Wally nodded. "Hey, Kara," he said.

"Who may I be inclined of politely asking are you three unexpected visitors to our world?" Knuckles, inevitably perhaps, spoke up in question.

At hearing his voice, Wally, Joe and Patty looked in its direction, their eyes widening and mouths dropping open at the sight of the blue hedgehog, two-tailed fox and red echidna in the room with Kara and Alex.

"Well I'll be..." Wally gasped, looking to and addressing Sonic, "Are you...?"

At once, Sonic was in front of the three from Earth 1, holding out a hand. "Sonic the Hedgehog, at your service," he introduced himself politely with a grin.

"SONIC?!" three voices gasped as one, as Knuckles and Tails themselves now joined Sonic.

"And I assume that you..." Patty said, looking to Tails, "...are Miles Prower, better known as Tails, going by your two tails?" Then she turned to Knuckles, "And you are Knuckles the Echidna?"

"That is indeed correct, madam," Knuckles confirmed for Patty in a usual matter of fact tone, his eyes narrowing, "But how do you know about me and the hedgehog and fox? I don't believe we've ever met before."

"Are you kidding?" Joe exclaimed, "From where we're from, you three are some of the most popular and most loved video game characters ever. Even I used to enjoy playing them and you when I was a lad."

"Me too," Patty agreed.

"I third that," Wally finished with.

"Video games?" Sonic asked in curiosity.

"Oh..." Wally said, realizing that once again, some things were obviously different on this Earth than to theirs, and the very real life versions of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles he and dad Joe and Patty were seeing standing before them must clearly be some of that.

"Ah well, pleased to meet you three in the meantime, I suppose," Joe said, he and Wally and Patty shaking hands with the three aliens and Alex while introducing themselves properly, the three Earth 1'ers all gasping at the huge strength of Knuckle's powerful grip alone when he did handshakes with them.

"Well as much as it's nice to see you all again..." Kara spoke again at last herself, "I have a feeling you're not here on a social call."

"No," Joe confirmed, shaking his head.

"Didn't think so," Kara muttered, then asked what needed to be asked, "What is it?"

"It's Savitar," Wally answered, Kara's eyes lighting up as she remembered the name, Barry having told her of the metal armour clad speedster who'd been giving him and Team Flash so much trouble after the Music Meister business.

"And what's one of those when it's at home?" Tails asked, he and Sonic and Knuckles not having heard that sort of name being used for anyone at all.

"Sounds like the name for a super-villain," Sonic put in at a guess.

"That's cos he is, Sonic," Wally replied, "And he's the reason me and dad have brought Patty here."

"Why's that?" Alex asked.

"We want to keep Patty safe, and this was the best place that came to mind thanks to it being your sister's home Earth," Joe told her, now looking to Kara. "Please, Kara, we'd really appreciate it if you could," he pleaded.

"What is it about this mystery person with the strange name that has you so afraid for the dear lady's good person, lawman of the West?" Knuckles asked.

At the three's looks in response to the echidna's typical way of speaking, Sonic said, "Sorry, it's his habit, still has a lot to learn in terms of pronunciation." When he looked to Knuckles, a growl and scowl was what he got from the echidna.

"Well to answer the question..." Wally said, "Barry himself doesn't know we're here, and he can't. The reason being is cos Savitar's a future version of him."

"Wait, what?" Kara gasped in shock, unsure if she'd misheard what had just been said. How could someone as kind and gentle and selfless as Barry Allen, her friend at that, and the man who had unwaveringly helped her against Silver Banshee and Livewire that time he had accidentally ended up on her Earth the previous year, establishing their friendship in the first place, become evil enough to murder a woman he loved? She did know full well of course, thanks to Barry and co. having told her about it also, that Savitar wanted to kill Patty, but she hadn't known exactly why then, but now...

"Why would he wanna do that?" Tails asked.

"Turns out, Tails, Savitar from the future is actually still with my own sister Iris, and as much as I hate to say it, he is her love slave or something," Wally answered.

"Ewwww," Alex emitted, a look of disgust passing over her face at the mere thought of the idea.

"That sounds rather inappropriate for relationship standards," Knuckles said.

"Well 'inappropriate' isn't quite the full term right way of describing it, Knuckles," Joe put in for him.

"And now because Barry got back with me, Savitar's romance with Iris is at risk of being erased," Patty spoke again, "So he's basically being her precious little bitch and wants to kill me to fix things."

"And I thought Robotnik was mad enough himself," Sonic remarked, now looking to his fellow aliens and the Danvers pair, "Who else agrees on the fact that this guy Savitar is much more mad in the head than the Eggman?" His hand, along with four others, came up at that.

"Wait, Dr Robotnik exists here as well?" Wally asked, hearing the words, but for the moment no one answered him as Joe turned again to Kara.

"And that's why we need your help, Kara," he addressed the Kryptonian woman, "I know how it sounds, but please, we need your help in keeping Patty safe."

"Oh you can be very assured indeed you got that," Sonic said himself, extreme determination coming over his and Tails and Knuckles' faces, "This delusional doppelganger madman ever dares come here, we'll kick his butt just as hard as we've done with that of Dr Robotnik the two times we've fought him and taught him not to mess with our planet."

"I second to that," Knuckles agreed.

"Though I hope you ain't forgotten in too much of a hurry, Knuckles, you helped Robotnik against Sonic at first," Kara pointed out humouredly, "Till the mad boy had decided you were of no further use to him and ditched you for the Master Emerald, hence you became part of the Sonic gang from then on."

"Yes, my memories are still very much intact, Super," Knuckles answered in his usual manner.

"I say third here," Tails said in support of Joe's plea for Patty's safety.

"And I'll finish it with a combined fourth from me and Alex," Kara agreed also, joining her fellow aliens in their support, Patty, Joe and Wally nodding in appreciation.

Later on that evening, the five of them, together with J'onn J'onzz who had also come to join them thanks to Alex asking him to do so, were interacting, both Earth 1'ers and 38'ers all being great amused and blown away by the incredible tales told by one another about previous adventures done by their different Earths' individuals.

"So where's Robotnik now?" Joe asked.

Sonic shrugged. "Haven't seen him since we got the Master Emerald back and I Super Sonic'ed his giant armoured outfit," he answered, "But make no mistake..." he looked between Tails and Knuckles, "He ever does show his face again, we'll be ready to boot his butt off of this planet again if needs must be."

"You betcha," Tails declared cheerfully, sharing a fist bump with Sonic.

"As long as it ain't to that mushroom planet place you've said of," Patty said mischievously, "As I don't think the guy would like that..." she turned to Knuckles, "...after being stuck on there for a year till you found him and helped him return to Earth to menace Sonic again, Knuckles."

"Yeah, don't think there'd be mush room for him a second time round," Wally chuckled, which resulted in laughs from the rest.

"I am prepared to admit it was probably a grave mistake on my part that I found and befriended Robotnik when I did," Knuckles then said.

"Reckon he'd certainly be a worthy opponent for Barr, that is if a version of him ever existed back home on our Earth," Joe remarked.

Then suddenly, a breach opened, and a second later a giant suit of armour, the eyes and the gaps on the body glowing with blue light, that looked like a discount Megatron sped out of it, grabbing Patty and holding her up, everyone leaping to their feet.

"I am Savitar, the God of Speed," the disembodied voice of the absolute megalomaniacal delusion rife Barry Allen copycat declared, "And I will ensure my destiny gets fulfilled."

But then in a split second, Knuckles sped forward and snatched Patty out of Savitar's hand, the copycat looking around in shock and seeing the Echidna standing a safe distance away, holding Patty up with his boxing glove encased hands.

"Hands off the lady, if you don't mind," Knuckles ordered.

"Uh, Knuckles, would you mind me putting down, please?" Patty spoke, Knuckles looking up at her and seeming to only realize he was still holding her up in the air himself.

"My sincerest apologies, my lady," he gave, and then plonked her down a little hard on one of Kara's couches.

"What...?" Savitar wondered, eyes wide in shock.

Sonic moved so that he stood directly in front of Savitar, blue electricity crackling on his body, his green eyes narrowed. "I don't know how you found out, but you made a big mistake coming here," he growled warningly, Tails and Knuckles joining him, their own faces giving looks you wouldn't want to dare make any bigger.

"Who are you?" Savitar demanded, having of course no knowledge whatsoever of the three alien creatures who stood before him.

"You are no God of Speed," Tails spoke up, "You're just a lovesick puppy dog, who only cares about maintaining his own existence regardless of how many others get hurt in order to do so."

"Unlike you, we made a vow to use our powers to keep the universe, and this world, our home, safe," Knuckles growled equally as menacingly.

"We don't use our powers to run away or to harm people," Sonic declared in extreme determination to Savitar, "We use them to protect our friends."

"I am the fastest speedster in the multiverse," Savitar roared insanely, "I am the rage and the vile and the voracity. I am the Prince and the Fallen. I am the Enemy, I am the Sin and the fear and darkness. I shall never die. The thought of me is forever, in the bleeding hearts of men, in their vanity and obsecrate and lust. Nothing shall ever destroy me. Nothing!"

"We'll see about that," Sonic gave in response, "Catch us if you can." He looked to Tails and Knuckles, sharing understanding nods. "On your marks..." Sonic began, the three of them turning a hundred and eighty degrees to face the other way, "Get set..." they made ready into starting positions, "And... go." And with that, in flashes of blue, red and orange light, they were off.

Savitar roared angrily and raced after them, pursuing them through the streets of National City trying to catch the trio, but to his horror he found he couldn't keep up with them at all.

"Probably a bad time to say this, but does anyone have an exact plan on how to take out this guy?" Tails asked his two pals as they continued running.

"His weak spot is what we need to target," Knuckles answered, "I would suggest-"

"No no no, please don't say 'the groin'," Sonic groaned, knowing what the Echidna was about to say. But then as if in answer to their needed prayers, a moment later Heat Vision suddenly blazed down from the sky and hit Savitar's feet, making him trip forward and roll on the ground, the trio breaking to a hold and looking up to where it had come from.

"This answer your question, eh, you three?" Clark Kent aka Kara's big cousin Superman called out.

"It would seem we owe you the benefit of a very timely arrival, Man of Kent," Knuckles responded with.

Clark chuckled. "Indeed you do, Knuckles," he replied as, with a joyful shout of "Clark", Kara arrived, the two cousins happily embracing in mid-air.

Savitar groaned as he got back onto his feet, only to then grab his head and scream in pain, bending over and almost falling to his knees as J'onn, as the Martian Manhunter, attacked him with a mental blast.

"Remember what you performed on Dr Robotnik last year before you and Sheriff Wachowski banished him to the mushroom planet, Sonic?" J'onn asked, addressing the blue Hedgehog, "Now would be a good a time as any to do it again."

Catching on to what J'onn was suggesting, Sonic grinned slyly and nodded. "I think so too, J'onzzy," he agreed, "Stand back, everyone." And with that, in a flash of blue lightning, he sped over to and part way up the wall of a building to the right, and then launched himself off it, curling himself into a ball as he flew through the air towards Savitar, impacting and bouncing off the speedster's suit of armour to the wall of a building on the left this time, repeating the process.

And for the next few seconds afterwards, Sonic was nothing but a series of blue lightning emitting blurs as he hit Savitar's suit multiple times left, right, in front, behind and all around, using building walls and parked vehicles to help him do so. Until finally, he stopped and returned to where Tails and Knuckles awaited, the exterior of Savitar's suit now a vast spiderweb of cracks thanks to Sonic's impact hits.

"Perhaps you would like the pleasure of landing the final blow, Knucks," Sonic proposed to the Echidna.

"It would be a pleasure," Knuckles agreed with a sense of gratitude. He moved so that he was positioned directly in front of Savitar, and as the speedster, J'onn having ended his mental blast beforehand, roared and prepared to charge, Knuckles moved first, speeding forward in a flash of red lightning before then launching himself into the air and curled into a spiky ball.

The impact from his body a moment later shattered Savitar's suit into many tiny pieces, and sent the delusional Barry Allen doppelganger flying backwards a few feet before he hit and rolled on the ground, at last coming to a stop on his back. He panted, horror on his pizza crust face at the realization of what happened, but then Knuckles returned, jumping and planting his feet hard on Savitar's chest, then grabbed the scruff of his black t-shirt with his boxing glove encased left hand and held up his right, Sonic and Tails together with a descended Kara and Clark and J'onn surrounding them on either side.

"Do it," Savitar yelled like the madman he was nothing.

"You insult and spit on my friendship with Barry by wearing a pizza crust version of his face," Kara spat in disgust, "And titling yourself don't make you any sort of God whatsoever."

"It doesn't matter who kills me," Savitar continued, not seeming to care Kara had just spoken, addressing Knuckles, "You're just a pathetic little echidna after all." That earned him a very angry expressioned look from Knuckles, "Either way, I-" But he never got the chance to say the word 'live', as the Echidna swung his right fist into Savitar's cheek, the super-strength backed hit knocking the insane maniac out like a light.

"I do not take kindly to insults from someone as mad in the head as you," Knuckles growled in comment, jumping off of Savitar's chest.

"So, what do we do with this guy?" Clark asked.

"Well as long as he doesn't kill Patty by the stroke of midnight, he'll be erased into nothingness," Tails explained.

"Ah, but before that happens..." Sonic spoke up, his face giving a huge twinkle which lit it up more than it had been before as he turned to Kara, "Could you get him over to the DEO, Kara, and have the whole gang, including old Joe and the other two, meet us there? I think there's something we need to do when our friend comes round."

After a brief moment's confusion, Kara's own face then lit up as she smiled, Tails reacting the same way as he too also caught on to what Sonic was saying. "Right away, Sonic," she said, before grabbing Savitar's unconcious form and slinging him over her shoulder and zooming back into the sky.

"Guess it's even more fortunate for you guys that I arrived on the scene when I did," Clark said, then as if guessing they were about to ask the inevitable question answered it with, "I was coming over to pay you all a social call when I saw you engaging in a race against Mr Armoured Suit Bloke." He shrugged, "Thought I'd pitch in and help out."

"Well in that case, I'd say you've earned yaself a reward for it," Tails said proposingly.

Clark nodded. "And I don't need to even guess what it is, Tails," he replied with a grin.

A few minutes before midnight

With a groan, and a big pain in his cheek, Savitar came to, looking round and seeing that he was lying on the hard floor of some sort of cell, and also noticed that his hands were cuffed in front of him, the cuffs being meta-power dampening ones. Pulling himself to his feet, he then saw, standing on the other side of the glass screen which made up the front wall of his cell, arms either folded across their chests or hands placed on hips, about a dozen individuals, them being the Danvers sisters, Lucy Lane, Winn, James, Clark, General Astra, Patty, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, all giving Savitar looks of utter contempt.

Racing up to the glass, the maniacal speedster roared with hatred, "Let me out of here. I'll kill Patty, and then all of you. I'll exist, no matter what happens, I always exist-"

But then Sonic spoke, putting his right hand up to his ear. "Sorry, pal, but can ya speak up a little? We can't hear ya," he said, he and the rest all chuckling.

"I've switched-a-roo'ed the cell's speaker systems a little, so you can hear us, but we can't hear you," Winn revealed.

"We don't fancy listening to whatever delusional madness comes outta your mouth during your final minutes of existence," Lucy went next.

"You can't keep me in here forever," Savitar just continued ranting and raving, as if he hadn't a word they said, holding up his cuffed hands, "I'll get outta these things, and then outta here, and I'll do what needs to be done. No matter what happens, I will ensure my existence remains intact, I will-"

"Sorry, still can't hear you," Alex said, she and everyone, apart from of course Knuckles, laughing again, for all they could hear, or rather see, from their side of the glass was Savitar's mouth moving up and down, but no actual words, courtesy of what Winn had indeed done.

"And now, here comes the best bit, the reason why we've all gathered and you are our delightful singular audience, Mr Mad Man with the pizza crust face," Sonic said, his face glowing with excitement, looking to Alex. "If you please, Alex?" he asked, holding out a gloved hand as Alex brought out her phone from her trouser pocket and tossed it gently to Sonic, who caught it and began searching on the screen for something, the grin on his face having not faltered.

"Can't believe you talked me into this, my niece," Astra said to Kara, "After all that I did to you during your first year as National City's guardian in blue and red, I would've thought you and this lot..." she gestured briefly with a head movement to the others, "...wouldn't want anything more to do with me."

"And if it hadn't've been for Alex stabbing you through the shoulder with that Kryptonite sword, rather than doing a killing blow through the chest, it wouldn't've given us the second chance that it did, and allowed you the opportunity to redeem yourself for the actions you did alongside that no-gooding do-gooder Non," Kara replied to her aunt, giving her a smile, "Besides, you know how strong the friendship between me and Sonic, Tails and Knuckles is, and what we and Clark have done between us multiple times."

"She speaks the undeniable truth, Aunt in General," Knuckles' voice agreed, the two women looking down to where the red Echidna had moved to Kara's side without them seeing, "It is customary in tradition with an invitation to join in on a pleasurable occasion like the one we are about to do to accept that very thing."

"Yes yes yes, I know that, thank you, both of you," Astra chuckled, addressing both Kara and Knuckles together.

"Is this how you always speak and address things, eh, Knuckles?" Patty now asked teasingly, "You never do seem to be able to distinguish and do humour from seriousness."

"It is my tradition in how I speak, thank you, Lady Spivott," Knuckles responded with.

"A-ha, got it," Sonic announced, holding up Alex's phone triumphantly before then turning to Winn. "You did make sure the speakers in the building are on full max, right, Winny? he asked the technician.

"Of course, Sonic, just as you requested," Winn answered.

"And that it's being recorded too?" Sonic continued.

"Yes yes yes, all is as you asked of me," Winn insisted.

"Come on, guys," James himself finally spoke, as he glanced at his watch and then held up his arm for everyone to see it, his finger tapping it, "We've only about two minutes left before Mr Evil Barry in there..." he nodded in Savitar's direction, "...is erased from existence. If we're gonna do this..."

"Then what're we waiting for?" Tails insisted, "Let's get on with it."

"And... roll the music," Sonic announced, hitting the 'Play' button on Alex's phone before then tossing it back to her.

At once, over the speaker systems in the building, a small drumbeat and then music began to play loudly, followed by a man's voice. "Hey everyone, come for a walk around the Australia Zoo. There's always things to do. There's a crocodile, there's a kangaroo, there's Steve Irwin too! Whoo-hoo!"

"Oh my god," Patty exclaimed, mouth dropping in delighted disbelief as she recognized the voice, looking round at the others as she did so, "The Wiggles, huh?"

Sonic nodded, also smiling hugely. "This one's our personal favourite," he replied, but said no more as now, he, Tails, Clark, Astra and Team Supergirl, Patty joining in too, began to sing and dance, Knuckles himself just watching and copying as best he could, all of them facing the cell confined Savitar as they did so.

"There's always so many things to do," Winn, James, Clark, Sonic and Tails all bellowed out together, the girls going next with the next line of "Hey warga-gargi, hey kalamazoo," everyone holding out their arms and twirling their hands before then holding them high and wiggling their fingers.

"Lots of animals adventures too, At the Australia Zoo." This next bit they all did together, sporting big grins as they did so, while Savitar pounded furiously on the glass window of his cell and roared whatever, but of course they couldn't hear a word he said and carried with the song, which was 'Australia Zoo', written and performed by Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page and Jeff Fatt, the original boys of the Australian children's music group called the Wiggles.

"The sun is shining, the sky is blue. Hey warga-gargi, hey kalamazoo." Again, the boys and Sonic and Tails did the first sentence, the girls doing the second, everyone raising one elbow and then the next up and down, then twirled their hands again, while also stepping forwards, then sideways, and then backwards as they did it all. Then at the next line, "The dingoes howl, the owls whoo-hoo, At the Australia Zoo", the group held their arms out wide, also holding up first their right feet, then their left, wiggling both them and their fingers as they sang on.

"Crocodiles and camels, Marsupials and mammals." At this next line, the dancers all held up both hands in front of them, stuck their index finger up and wiggled it, making sure the muted ranting Savitar, his pathetic actions drawing laughs again, could see it. "All kinds of animals, At the Australia Zoo." As they did this one, the group pumped their arms up and down and did the forwards, sideways and backwards stepping movement again at the same time.

"Kangaroos, koalas, The birds are singing la, la." Once again, it was Winn, James, Clark Sonic and Tails who did the majority of this line, but at the 'La la' it was the girls who tilted their heads back and put their hands to both sides of their mouths and sang it as loudly as they could, the next line of "The dingoes howl, the owls whoo-hoo, At the Australia Zoo" coming next, arms pumping up and down in the air at the lyrics.

"What's the matter, Savtary? Not caring for a little tune?" Sonic asked Savitar, who still continued to soundlessly rant and rave and pound on the glass of his cell, everyone laughing as the next lines of the song began.

"The crocodile hunter, he's true blue," came first, the boys doing it themselves, elbows raised up and down as they did so, then the girls followed with "Hey warga-gargi, hey kalamazoo," everyone holding out their arms and twirling their hands as it was all done. "There's people playing the didgeridoo," now Knuckles himself did his own small part, bringing both boxing gloved hands to his mouth and giving off a deep rumble in his best impersenation of a didgeridoo, as the line ended with "At the Australia Zoo."

"Hey, look at Murray, he's playing guitar for the crocodiles. Ha, ha." At this sentence, everyone fell silent and mimed playing a guitar. "Hey, Greg's doing magic tricks for the koalas." Tails produced some holograpic images of himself with this next one, which then disappeared. "And Jeff, well, Jeff's asleep." And with this last one, the group lolled their heads to one side and closed their eyes, miming sleeping for a moment before opening them again, the song continuing.

"There's always so many things to do. Hey warga-gargi, hey kalamazoo." As first boys, then girls, bellowed out the next lyrics, each member did his or her own thing, with elbows being raised up and down, arms held out and hands twirled, or arms raised up and down in the air, everyone doing the stepping forwards, sideways and backwards dancing move as they did so, followed on by the next line of "Lots of animals adventures too, At the Australia Zoo."

"Lots of animals adventures too, At the Australia Zoo. At the Australia Zoo." As everyone did these next lyrics, arms held out wide, right feet then left feet also being held up and wiggled along with fingers, they saw that something was happening with Savitar, whose muted ranting and roaring and fist pounding had suddenly ceased and was replaced by a look of horror on his face.

Then, as everyone sang out the last chorus of "At the Australia Zoo...", singing it in very high pitched voices, the 'Zoo' word being stretched out and then followed by "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha", they saw it happen. It started with Savitar's hands and slowly spread up his arms, and then across his whole body, legs and feet, with glowing blue white cracks similar to those on smouldering logs from a campfire, though they of course would be orange.

Then, watched by the gaping mouthed Earth 38'ers and Patty, Savitar himself watching in pure horror, his fingers and then his whole hands began to break apart, the pieces floating and dissolving in the air, the meta-power dampening cuffs clattering to the floor. Then his arms, feet, legs and body all followed, dissolving one by one into non-existence, until his head was the only thing left of him, the deranged demonic false God of Speed emitting one final ever scream of rage, as if fate had ultimately cheated him to the last, before that too, and himself, was gone.

"My god," Lucy finally said.

"That was certainly something to see," James agreed.

"Well, at least with that happening, what it obviously must mean is that I'm now safe," Patty said happily.

Alex glanced at her watch. "You're absolutely right there, Patty," she confirmed, seeing that it was just gone midnight.

"And we gave that mad boy an awesome farewell sing-along and dance routine before his non-existence caught up with him," a hugely ecstatic Tails proclaimed.

"Indeed we did," Sonic furthered just as highly happily, turning to Kara. "Told ya ya got this, didn't I, Kara?" he said to the Kryptonian girl.

"No, it's we got this," Kara playfully corrected Sonic with a grin.

"Exactly, both of you," Clark agreed.

"Hear hear on that very much so," Alex spoke up herself.

"I third that strongly," Winn further agreed.

"Same," James and Lucy said together.

"Alright," Sonic now cheered in response, sharing double high fives with everyone, but when he came to Knuckles he asked instead, "Power pump, Knucks?"

Knuckles nodded. "Indeed, to share in the spoils of victory," he agreed, doing said thing carefully and gently of course due to what his strength was.

"So, that tune's one of your personal favourite, huh?" Patty asked, remembering Sonic's words from a few minutes ago.

"Indeed it is, Patty dearest," Sonic confirmed, Patty chuckling and shaking her head at the Hedgehog's cheek with the last two words.

"I should've thought that was rather obvious, Detective Spivott, thanks to my niece, of all people, dragging me into it at last," Astra said in a humourful way, "Honestly, the many times I've witnessed she and the Hedgehog, Fox and Echidna, along with Kal-El and the rest of who's in here with us, doing all this..."

"Hey, it's part of the tradition of my friendship with these three, Aunt Astra," Kara responded with, gesturing to Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, "Just as it wouldn't be a worthy and exciting enough adventure without Dr Robotnik returning to menace us every time..."

"So it is that it wouldn't be our style of sing-along and dance fun time without such joyful lyrics and tunes like that of the Aussie Wiggles boys," Sonic finished with.

"May I suggest we retreat to the chief place of operations and see how our audience enjoyed the main event?" Knuckles asked, again in his traditional way of saying it.

"Yes, I suppose we'd better do so, Knuckles," Kara agreed, and together the group left the cell block and made their way to the main control room, arriving to great applause from J'onn J'onzz, an awe faced Joe and Wally, and the DEO agents who were in there waiting for them, all having watched and observed the whole of what happened on the DEO computers via live footage.

"Thank you, thank you," Sonic greeted, speaking for them all as he and the rest all bowed in response to the ovation, big smiles on their faces.

"I wish Barr and Cisco were here to see all this," Wally remarked, still in awe over what he and dad Joe had just witnessed on-screen.

"Oh, don't you worry none about that, young Wally," Winn gave in answer, "I've sorted it all out."

"Presumably you'll be needing this then, Agent Schott," J'onn said with a grin, holding up and waggling a mobile phone in his hand.

Winn nodded. "Cheers, J'onn," he said, catching the phone in his hand as the Martian Manhunter threw it to him, then turned to Patty. "Time we were escorting you home to Barry, the good Barry that is, I'd say, Patty," he suggested.

Patty raised an eyebrow. "'We'?" she acknowledged.

Alex and Lucy each laid a hand on both her shoulders, Patty looking to them. "You think that after keeping you safe and sound from an absolutely delusional in the head version of Mr Allen who was certainly much more mad than the stuck-out moustache bearing bald-headed comedic maniac of Dr Robotnik himself, and enjoying a dance and sing-along to our favourite tune from the Wiggles, we'd let you return home to Earth 1 with Mr West and his son here..." Lucy answered with a smile, nodding briefly to Joe and Wally, "...without a proper escort of those who'd prefer to say goodbye properly, eh, Patty?"

"And besides, some of us haven't at all had the pleasure of meeting Barry, the real Barry of course, properly yet," Alex added, referring to herself, Clark and the trio with this.

"And that's not all, Alex," Sonic spoke again, everyone turning to him as he addressed his two fellow aliens and Kara. "What say you three to the idea of a new race, between us and Miss Patty's lover man who's their Earth's own master speedster, to see who's the fastest, huh?" he asked them.

"Hey, I'm from the same Earth too, you know," Wally put in in slight offense, but Joe shushed him.

Tails nodded. "After all the fun we've just finished enjoying this day with his mad in the head pizza crust faced copycat version, of course I'm up for it," he agreed happily.

"It would be a pleasure to meet Lady Spivott's man and compare notes on who gets to claim the prize of fastest runner," Knuckles replied, as usual speaking in his typical way of answering.

"Well you know full well who'll be the winner between us easily, Knuckles," Kara chuckled, "But in answer to your question, absolutely, you can certainly count me in on this."

"And there may just be other places out there in the multiverse's infinite vastness for us to visit..." Sonic added in further excitement, holding up the bag containing his portal rings, "...and see if there are other individuals out there who bear powers like ours or yours for us to challenge."

"Well then, what're we still doing here then, huh?" Joe spoke up, "Let's get going."

As Wally brought out the interdimensional extrapolator he and Joe and Patty had used to come to Earth 38 in the first place, Kara looked between her cousin, aunt and J'onn. "Clark? J'onn? Aunt Astra?" she asked the three of them.

Clark shook his head. "Someone's gotta watch over the city whilst you're gone, cuz," he said, "And besides..." he grinned cheekily, "I always beat you and Sonic and the other two anyway, wouldn't be fair to Mr Allen and whoever else you may visit on whichever other Earth to constantly be seeing only the back end of me as I zoom out and stay in front of ya all the time."

"Just as Clark has said," J'onn said in agreement with the older Kryptonian, "Go, have fun. We'll wait to hear what you bring back to share with us."

"You think I would miss out on the opportunity of being a willing spectator to my niece's fun racing habit?" Astra answered, meaning of course she agreed with the proposal to go to Earth 1.

"Gateway's here," Wally announced, everyone seeing that a breach was now open.

Sonic looked between Tails and Knuckles. "Well what're we waiting for then, huh?" he asked in ten fold excitement, his face showing it and all, "Another world, here we come." And with that, the three of them were off, speeding forward and disappearing through the breach before any of the others could respond.

Kara shook her head. "Those three..." she said, but chuckling after she'd said the words, "Let's go, guys." And together, with Joe and Wally leading, she, Patty, Alex, Lucy, Astra, James and Winn followed them through the breach, which closed the moment they had done so.

Chapter Text

Earth 1, STAR Labs, just after midnight

"Allen..." At the sound of Harry Wells's voice, Barry, Cisco and Caitlin, the latter wearing her new Killer Frost outfit, her hair still white from the latest session of controlled training she and her newly discovered other meta persona side had just finished working on in their new coordination with each other, came running to where the Earth 2 Wells figure and daughter Jesse, now also Jesse Quick thanks to her newly gained speedster powers, stood before a breach that had opened.

As the Team Flash three and the pair from Earth 2 braced themselves for what or who might come out of it, three streaks of lights, blue, red and orange came zooming out of it and stopped before them, revealing their true forms. And upon seeing the five individuals standing before him and his fellow creatures, the eyes and mouths on the faces of the three Earth 1'ers widening and dropping open in total shock at the sight of them, Sonic's own eyes went wide as he, Tails and Knuckles looked around them.

"Well, it looks like our first interdimensional jump between the infinity of worlds has gone successfully indeed," Knuckles remarked.

"Yup. You could be right, Knucks," Sonic answered.

"Oh. My. God!" an even more mighty shocked than the other four with him Cisco breathed, unable to believe the sight of who was before them, as he walked forward and stood in front of the hedgehog, fox and echidna. "You are... Oh my god, this can't be happening. Guys..." He turned back to Barry, Caitlin and the father and daughter from Earth 2, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING."

"Cisco, are they who I think they are?" Barry asked in accordance agreement with his fellow meta. He too couldn't take his eyes off of the three newly arrived visitors.

"They can't be..." Caitlin furthered, breathing out the words.

"Ramon, are you sure you're alright?" Harry asked, he and Jesse confused as to how the three were reacting.

"Harry, Jesse..." Cisco began proclaiming proudly like a shopkeeper or circus ringmaster, gesturing to the trio with his arms, "Meet Sonic, the Hedgehog..." Sonic was first, "Myles Prower, most commonly known as Tails, the two-tailed flying fox..." next was Tails, "And finally, Knuckles, the Echidna..." And lastly came Knuckles, the red Echidna giving a little scowl and growl in typical response. "Stars of one of the most biggest, popular and successful ever video games ever," Cisco finished with, his excitement having not faltered an inch. Barry and Caitlin looked between each other, just the same as Cisco upon the absolute confirmation that what, or rather who, they were witnessing before them was the absolute truth indeed.

"Then it seems Mr West and Wally and Patty certainly weren't kidding when they revealed that to us earlier in the day, it seems," Tails remarked out loud.

At hearing Patty's names, Team Flash tensed, but before any of them could speak Joe and Wally, along with Patty and the rest of the gang from Earth 38, chose that moment to make themselves known, stepping out from the breach behind the three smaller aliens, the breach closing the moment they did so.

"Patty!" Barry gasped aloud in utter relief, the other four with him reacting the very same, and sped forward, gathering Patty into a crushing embrace, she returning it as Barry kissed her full and furiously on the mouth, the Scarlet Speedster holding onto her for as long as he deemed necessary, not wanting to let her go. But eventually, he had to, Cisco, Caitlin, Harry and Jesse giving Patty their own big hugs and congratulating her upon surviving.

At last, Barry took notice of Joe and Wally, Kara and the Earth 38 gang, amongst them the two of whom he hadn't had the pleasure of meeting on his first unexpected visit to Earth 38 a year ago, being Alex and Astra. "Hey, everyone," he greeted them.

"Hey, Barry man," Winn answered as Kara came forward and hugged her Speedster friend, Barry returning it without hesitation considering how strong his friendship with Kara was since their first meet.

"Joe and Wally brought Patty to our Earth," Kara said after they released each other.

"Yeah, I think Tails hinted that just now," Barry nodded.

Kara turned to her fellow aliens, Tails shrugging. "They had to know," he gave in simple response.

At that, Kara gave a shrug and a facial expression of 'Whatever?', then waved to her sister and aunt, the two coming over. "Barry, remember the sister I mentioned the first time you came to my Earth, and the evil aunt I was battling against for a time?" she asked. Barry nodded, remembering full well of course. Kara now turned to Alex. "Alex, Aunt Astra, meet the true version of who I've spoken very much about ever since he ended up on our Earth quite by accident and lent a much needed helping hand against Leslie and Siobhan before he and I inevitably had to say our farewells and send him on his way. Barry Allen, the true Barry Allen at that, also known as the Flash."

Alex held out her hand. "It's a pleasure to at last have the privilege of meeting you for real, Mr Allen," she greeted Barry, "And certainly, regarding what Kara said about that business you needed her help with before Christmas, the Dominators, thank you for breaking her free of the hold those bastards had on her and others of your hero buddies from here."

"Oh, please, I'm just glad to be of service to your sister with our friendship," Barry replied, the two chuckling as they shook hands, before Barry then turned to Astra. "I take it that, going on that you're here with Kara and all the rest, and not in a holding cell at the DEO as she mentioned you were the last time, that she's given you a second chance of being the sort of person any family relative deserves to be in the eyes of their other relations, huh, Miss Astra?"

"General Astra, if you please, Mr Allen," Astra corrected Barry, but not crossly, "And yes, you would be correct. It's taken a long time for me to make up for everything I did toward my niece and her close band during her first days and months as National City's hero guardian in red and blue, including when I was in league with my former and now very thankfully dead monstrous husband Non in doing so, Non not giving a damn what he did as long he got things his way, including hurting innocent Earth inhabitants and my niece to do so, but now..." She and the Danvers sisters turned to each other, "Thanks to these two, through different ways to do so, I've earned what I lost for myself originally thanks to the person I was before." Now they exchanged smiles.

"Until someone unexpectedly pulls the trigger which sends you swiftly down the wrong path again, Aunt in General," Knuckles' voice spoke, he and Sonic and Tails having appeared at Astra's side without them being noticed.

Astra looked down at him. "You sure that person won't be you, Echidna, with how you're constantly unable to distinguish general facts from humour?" That earned laughs from Kara, Alex, Sonic and Tails, Knuckles giving his usual scowling expression himself, as all the rest now came over, Barry and Kara leading the general introductions to Cisco, Caitlin, Harry and Jesse on who each of the other Earth 38'ers were, and of course, when it came to more proper introductions with the trio of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, the two Earth 1 metas and Earth 2 pair all gasped at the huge strength of Knuckle's powerful grip alone when he did handshakes with them, shaking and curling and uncurling their fingers to get the blood flowing again.

"By the way, where's Mon-El?" Cisco pointed out, having noticed that the Daxamite man wasn't with them.

At that, pained expressions came over the majority of the National City gang, especially Kara, which didn't go unnoticed by the Earth 1'ers and the father and daughter from Earth 2, making them realize that something terrible had obviously happened. "It's a... long story," Kara finally gave in simple answer, the rest of her group each giving her a reassuring squeeze of the arm or rub on the back which she didn't resist towards. Barry and his group decided not to press the matter and wait for the others to explain in their own good time.

"But at least, Barr..." Wally spoke, changing the subject back to the day's dramatic but incredible events, "Sonic, Tails and Knuckles helped Kara and the rest here..." he gestured to their new friends, "...gloriously took down Savitar like he was a joke."

A still in awe Joe nodded. "They did, Barr," he confirmed, Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Harry and Jesse's eyes going wide.

"Really?" Barry asked.

Winn now grinned and brought out the mobile phone he had brought over from Earth 38 out of his trouser pocket. "Perhaps it'll be better if you saw it for yourself on tape rather than needing a long boring explanation from our mouths, eh, Barry?" he said teasingly.

"He's right, Non Pizza Crust Faced Barry," Sonic added with his own mischievous facial expression, "You'd be better off witnessing it for yaself on the screen than simple words." Joe, Wally and Patty all nodded too in support.

Barry exchanged puzzled looks with Cisco, Caitlin, Harry and Jesse, they too just as curious and wanting to know just what Winn and Sonic meant by. Then Barry shrugged. "Show us," he said.

A few minutes later, Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Harry and Jesse were trying very hard to stop themselves from falling to the floor of the Cortex area of STAR Labs, all of them doubled over or bent backwards in total hysterics after having watched via the computer screens, and thanks of course to Winn's phone, the different camera angled shots taken of the Earth 38'ers doing their song and dance performance to The Wiggles' Crocodile Hunter tune in front of the imprisoned and now very erased indeed Savitar.

"I should tear you lot to shreds for leaving us outta witnessing this absolute cinematic level moment you did to Mr Pizza Crust Face in time for his erasure," Cisco finally managed to say to Team Supergirl's members and Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as his tearful laughter came under control, the group from Earth 38, apart from Knuckles who maintained his typical serious expressioned silence, having also been unable to join in the laughter themselves at seeing their own performance on-screen.

"Well, don't forget, Cisco, we couldn't exactly tell you and Barr and the rest about where we were taking Patty, due to who exactly it was we've been facing beforehand until now no longer," Joe reminded.

"I know, but still..." Cisco shook his head, "I would've given just about anything to be there when the big moment happened, if only just to give the delusionist a little wave and ribbled remark before erasure overcame him."

"Cisco..." Caitlin replied, everyone chuckling again at that.

"So, not that it ain't a pleasure to have those of you lot who haven't at all yet visited our Earth until just now, but I take it you didn't just come here to escort Patty home to us, right?" Barry asked the National City team and the hedgehog, fox and echidna trio.

"You would be correct in your assumption, Son of Allen," Knuckles answered, turning to Sonic, "The hedgehog here, before we bid our temporary farewell to our home world, had the idea of coming here to challenge you in a race to see who was the fastest between us in a straight run."

"Yes, I was gonna reveal that in good time, you know, pal," Sonic replied back with.

Apart from Joe, Patty and Wally who had already heard it, the rest of Team Flash all raised an eyebrow in response to what Knuckles had said. "Really?" Harry responded, "And what makes you so sure you'll be able to best Allen in a run?"

"Well, his deluded in the mind and head maniac doppelganger couldn't at all match us when we had him behind us, Mr Wells," Sonic answered with a grin, Tails nodding in agreement, "And whenever we..." he gestured briefly between himself and his fellow creatures with a hand gesture, "...have fun raced Kara in our spare time, we've always proven time and again who exactly is the fastest between us."

"They always leave me in the dust, Barry," Kara spoke next, "I can never keep up with them, no matter how fast and far I push myself in flight, Sonic and Tails and Knuckles always reach the finish line before me every time we do a race between us." She and the other human members of her group all chuckled at that.

"Whereas when it comes to Clark, Kara's supposed to be properly younger cousin..." Tails added, chuckles again coming from the rest of the Earth 38 group at that, "We barely even get past the starting line before he comes zooming right back again as if he ain't moved at all.

"Like that, basically," Sonic agreed, giving a right finger snap to emphasize the point, "That's how fast he goes."

Barry and Cisco gave short whistles at that. "And now I suppose you wanna know how fast Barr, the real Barr, does against you lot, huh?" Cisco asked.

"That is correct, Ramone of Vibes," Knuckles answered, in typical way of doing so.

"But what of Wally? After all, he's now one of us," Jesse at last spoke up, referring of course to herself and the two speedster boys with the second sentence, "And how's about me? Are you gonna leave me out of such an event as what you've been saying about?"

"I believe we were under the impression that the true speedster of this Earth is the one who's been the longer of the two before the youngster gained his own fast speed, young Wells offspring," Knuckles answered Jesse's questions.

At the quizzical looks on Harry and Jesse's faces at Knuckles' typical way of answer giving, Sonic stepped in. "Sorry, still has a lot to learn still in terms of adjusting to how things are on Earth, a Earth that is, including the language ways and barriers," he said, Knuckles giving him a usual expression.

"But they are correct in a sense, Jesse," Joe now said. He turned to his own son, "Sorry, Wall, but Barry has been the Central City speedster over two years more than you have for only a few months." Then he looked back to Jesse, "Same with you, Jesse. After all, you've only become who you are now as a speedster thanks to what happened to you and Wall that night we attempted to give Barry back his Zoom stolen speed last year via the particle accelerator."

"So in effect, you two aren't at the same levels as Barry yet, and certainly not even at how fast Kara and our three live action video games character versions here..." Patty went next, nodding to Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, "...can go, with what they've either shared about to us or demonstrated fully when they were keeping me safe and away from Savitar's grasp."

"Joe and Spivott are correct, so's Knuckles," Harry said in further agreement. When Jesse turned to him, her mouth opening as she prepared to argue back, her father shook her head and went on before she could do so, "They both do speak the absolute truth, Jesse." He looked over to Wally, "Same goes with you, young West. You weren't even around here in Central City when Allen first became the Flash, were you, same going with when I first came over myself during the Zoom business."

"And as has also pointed out rightly so, Wally, t'was only thanks to what Mr Brown Haired Draco Malfoy version did to you as Doc Alchemy that you gained your Flashpoint persona and are who you are now," Cisco finished with, referring obviously to Julian Randal and his Harry Potter movie face copy self.

Barry and Caitlin nodded. "They all speak the truth, you two," Caitlin said to Wally and Jesse together.

"So..." Kara spoke again, looking with great hopeful anticipation to her Earth 1 speedster friend, "Are you up for this, Barry? The chance to at least see what Sonic and the other two mean by being the ones who're unbeatable every time they and I race each other back home, even if you'll inevitably be the same as me in it?"

"And it ain't just that, Barry," a once more equally as hugely excited Sonic said, holding up the bag containing his portal rings, "Thanks to what I always carry very preciously on my person in this little pouch, there may just be other places out there in the multiverse's infinite vastness you might love to visit and see if there are other individuals out there who bear powers like ours or Kara's for us to take up the challenge of a race to see who comes out on top between us."

Barry now had even more wonder on his face as he took in all this, but eventually he looked to Kara. "I suppose I don't really have much choice in the matter, do I, eh, Kara?" he remarked humouredly.

Kara shook her head. "Nope," she chuckled.

Finally, Barry shrugged and turned to the hedgehog, fox and echidna, who waited with hopeful expectation on their faces. "You're on," he gave in simple answer, Sonic and Tails both giving a "Yahoo" and double high-fiving each other, Knuckles saying "A very wise decision, Central City guardian" and squeeze crushing Barry's hand in another handshake.

"But before we do that, Barry, I think there's another something, or rather another certain someone, we should help you out with," Kara said, her voice and face suddenly very serious, arms folding across her chest, "One who I believe, from what Joe and Patty and Wally shared with us earlier on, has plagued you, as well as Cisco and Caitlin and also Oliver and his team buddies in Star City, even more in life than any other individual you've all ever faced, especially you yourself even more than everyone else."

"Who, Kara?" Barry asked.

"The man I believe you all know..." Kara paused for effect, then finished the sentence, "As Eobard Thawne."

At the single name, perfect silence followed. Even the machines in the room seemed to have stopped. The last two words from Kara's mouth seemed to have had a paralyzing effect on the rest of Team Flash and the father and daughter pair from Earth 2.

"Thawne," Barry at last spat through tightly clenched teeth, his upper body heaving with barely contained deep hatred, hands curling and fingers digging into his palms, eyes blazing like fire.

"I take it that this guy's not exactly been in your good books for quite a while, eh, Barry?" Lucy asked.

"You have absolutely no idea, Lucy," the Scarlet Speedster hissed. And now, backed by the rest of Team Flash, Barry gave Team Supergirl and the Trio everything they needed to know in terms of the more expert facts about how much the man known as the Reverse Flash had sickeningly influenced his and the lives of their fellow Earth 1 heroes, starting from the night of the murder of his mother Nora Allen seventeen years ago and his father's wrongful imprisonment for it thanks to Thawne being the one, right up to the last time he and Thawne had seen each other after Barry had had to beg him to kill his mother all over again after Barry had done the gigantic mistake of creating Flashpoint.

When he had finished, the heads of the Earth 38'ers shook at the enormity of the facts they had just learned, the faces of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and Kara showing looks of utmost contempt and fury more than the rest.

"What a bastard," Winn said.

"And I thought Non was monstrous enough," Astra growled, "But this son-of-a-bitch Thawne sure as hell surpasses him in every aspect of that."

"You have no idea, Auntie Astra," Cisco agreed, raising his hands apologetically at the look Astra gave him in response to his use of her name.

"And now you want to help deal with him, eh, Kara?" Barry asked his Kryptonian friend.

Kara moved closer and lay a hand on his arm. "After keeping Patty safe from your delusional maniacal scarred faced doppelganger version, it's only fair that we return the favour for you, Barry," she told him, "By ridding you once again of the man who ruined your life and that of everyone else in your ring of hero buddies on this Earth for so long, and who continuously keeps on returning like a plague that just won't die."

"But no more," Knuckle spoke, "It's time to stamp out this yellow coloured disease of an individual once and for all."

"I can third that," Sonic agreed.

"Aye," Tails furthered it.

"But how can we? I mean, we don't even know whereabouts Thawne could even be. God knows just where he is right now in space and time," Caitlin pointed out.

"Well in answer to that, Ms Killer Frosty..." Sonic said, grinning mischievously at the look she gave him at that as he brought out one of his rings and held it up for all to see, "These rings aren't just a way for all advanced persons, like me, to travel between worlds. For them and you to do so, you activate one by throwing it and imagining your desired location, and when that happens it opens up to whereabouts you desire to go."

"So what exactly are you saying, hedgehog?" Harry put in.

"It means, Dr Wells, that if Barry uses one and desires his wish to know whereabouts old Eobard currently is at this moment..." Sonic turned to Barry, "It will bring the Man in Yellow to him. To us." He now returned the ring to his bag.

Now Barry was more intently interested than he had been before. "And you're sure it can do that, Sonic?" he asked the little blue hedgehog.

"If the hedgehog speaks what he does, Son of Allen, it is the absolute truth," Knuckles answered for Sonic.

"Let's help you end this guy once and for all, Barry," Tails agreed, his and Sonic and Knuckles' faces showing absolute determination.

A cough from Wally drew their attention, as he and Jesse walked forwards. "Would you object if me and Jesse help you and Kara and our three live action versioners from the Sonic video games with this matter, Barr?" Wally asked.

"It's the very least we could do if we can't go fun racing with you guys across the multiverse," Jesse agreed.

Barry considered, then turned to the red echidna. "D'you think that's acceptable enough in your books, Knuckles?" he asked.

Knuckles too considered, then eventually answered with, "I think the less experienced youngsters could be allowed the pleasure of a big lesson indeed on the matter at hand with the fast man in yellow."

"Hey, we heard that," Jesse responded indignantly as everyone else chuckled at Knuckles' typical way of speech giving.

"Suit up," Barry now told her and Wally.

"So if I just throw this, and picture where I wish for it to open, it should bring Thawne to us, right, Sonic?" Barry, now clad in his Flash suit, asked. He, Kara, a suited up Wally and Jesse, and of course Sonic, Tails and Knuckles now stood on a deserted Central City road, Barry holding up one of Sonic's rings in his right hand.

"Exactly," Sonic confirmed.

"Let's find this guy, Barry," Jesse said.

A steely determination filled expressioned Barry nodded, now looking ahead. "Where are you, Eobard?" he remarked, fully concentrating in the mind as to what he desired, as he pulled back his arm and then threw the ring forwards, the little gold jewel spinning through the air before then expanding into a large gold rimmed portal, the group of seven seeing what looked like a grassy field in daylight through the circular gap...

The Somme, 1916 (the moment, in the LOT season 2 finale, after old Eobard has attempted and failed to rewrite reality again)

The stunned look on Thawne's face was priceless when he opened his eyes and realized nothing was happening around him. "I may've made one small change to reality," Sara smirked at seeing his expression.

He scowled, glaring at her, "You depowered the Spear." Sara lifted her head proudly as Thawne sneered darkly. "Well, I guess we'll just have to do this the old fashioned way," he said, raising the Spear and aiming it towards Sara, "I am going to drive this through your heart."

But then, before he could even make a move on her, an inhuman roar sounded out, Thawne freezing where he was, face now overcome with sheer horror at just what it had to be, eyes widening at the realization of his own self carelessness. For in his haste to chase the Legends back to 1916 after they had escaped from the world he and the Legion of Doom had created in the present using the Spear, he had forgotten and left behind his special pager which always warned him of whenever the Speed Force's monstrous zombie speedster guardian was nearby, so telling him to flee to the next place in time and space to avoid its grasp. But now...

"Yeah, about that..." Sara's smirk widened, as the Black Flash itself now arrived in a flash of red lightning on the horizon, emitting a loud roar.

"No..." Thawne breathed, face drained of colour, and prepared to once again flee for his life. But then, both he and Sara received a great shock when right beside them, and which temporarily obscured the Black Flash from their view, some sort of portal, a large gold rimmed circle, opened up, revealing beyond the high rise building and street lights of a nighttime city.

Gaping at it for a moment, Sara doing the same, but then without any further hesitation, Thawne, taking advantage of this extremely unexpected gateway to possible escape from the monstrous speedster that had once again managed to catchup with him, and still clutching the now useless Spear of Destiny in his hand, sped through, the portal vanishing as soon as he had done so, leaving a still immensely shocked Sara where she was on the Somme battlefield.

All around her, Thawne's other selves began fading out of existence, but then suddenly her view was obscured by the horrific rotted flesh scarred face of the Black Flash, revealed thanks to the left side of his cowl having been torn off at some time before. It roared once right in her face, and then sped off and vanished out of sight, as it once again set off in pursuit of its elusive quarry.

"What on Earth just happened?" Sara breathed quietly to herself, the foul breath of the zombie speedster monster in her nose, the Legends captain referring to what had just happened moments before with the appearance of the portal which allowed Thawne to escape her and the Black Flash again, as her teammates and future self began getting back onto their feet and gather around her.

Running through the portal, which retracted once more into a normal gold ring the moment he did so, the little jewel falling to the tarmac with a tinkle, Thawne, still tightly gripping the Spear in his right hand, immediately halted where he was at the sight of the seven individuals who stood on the road before him, one of them being...

"Flash," Thawne roared, his whole body now heaving, teeth clenched so tightly he wondered how miraculously it was they weren't breaking, as the very sight of his lifelong enemy, the Scarlet Speedster of Central City, which was no doubt the very place he had just arrived in, caused the Reverse Flash man's centuries long hatred for his opposite version to course through his entire body and soul like molten lava, his very veins almost boiling and bubbling with it, his eyes blazing with speedforce lightning.

Barry, the very same amount of hatred overcoming him again at the sight of Thawne, even more so as he thought back again to their last meeting, stepped forward. "Time to finish where we left off with Flashpoint, Thawne," he spat.

Kara, she herself equally as sickened at the sight of the Reverse Flash despite this being the very first ever time of seeing him properly, now stepped beside her friend, while behind her Jesse, Wally, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, they too feeling the very same way at seeing Thawne before them, readied themselves. "You made Barry beg you to kill his mother Nora Allen all over again using your sick way of making him do so when he had to correct what he'd wrongly done with Flashpoint, Eobard Thawne," she snarled, jabbing her right index finger in his direction, "And you've plagued his life and those of his family and fellow heroes ever since that fateful night seventeen years ago. But now..." she paused for effect, enjoying the look on Thawne's face as she spoke, "I, we, are here to help him end your blighted existence from the face of the multiverse once more."

"There is nowhere, absolutely nowhere, in all of time Barry will ever be safe from me, Supergirl," Thawne snarled back, at the same time hurling the depowered Spear aside. Taking full note of Kara's absolute shock, and when Barry and the others turned to her with equal mega shock on their faces, Thawne's anger calmed a little as he laughed. "Yes, I know very well who you are. Kara Zor-El aka Kara Danvers, the last daughter of Krypton, daughter of Zor-El and Alura, cousin of Superman aka Kal-El," he proclaimed.

"How..." Kara breathed, unable to believe that the Reverse Flash could possibly know about her indeed.

"It doesn't matter," Barry spoke again, his own defiance still showing to its fullest extent as he now slowly walked step by step towards Thawne, Kara following him in perfect side by side synchronisation, the other five behind them following at the same pace. "It doesn't matter what you know. It doesn't matter where you go. It doesn't matter what you do, Eobard," Barry listed as they inched closer to the Reverse Flash, "It doesn't matter that you have made it your life's mission to destroy me. Because in all that time, in all these years, you have missed the obvious."

Thawne's returned rage only increased even more with each word spoken. "And what is that, Flash?" he demanded.

"You became the Reverse Flash to become my enemy." And now, Barry delivered the final coup de grace, "Without me, Thawne, you are quite literally nothing, nothing. That's who you are."

"Unlike you, Running Man in Yellow, the hedgehog, fox and I made a vow to use our powers to keep the universe, and this world, our home, safe," Knuckles growled menacingly, speaking himself at last.

"We don't use our powers to run away or to harm people," Sonic declared in extreme determination to Thawne, "We use them to protect our friends."

It was all too much at last for Thawne. "No," he erupted in denial, his body emitting sparks of red lightning, "NO! I am always better than you. I am the one thing you cannot stop, Flash. This time, I will destroy you once and for all. All of you."

"It doesn't matter how fast you are," Barry stated, "You'll never beat all seven of us at the same time."

"Oh, I can't? Trust me. This, this is gonna be fun," Thawne sneered, reaching back and pulling his cowl up over his face, his whole body immediately becoming a blur, his eyes glowing red. "Let's finish this, Flash," he challenged. And with that, the ultimate battle began.

As Kara and Tails took off into the air and hovered above side by side, Tails also drawing his laser gun ready to use it if need be, Barry and Thawne rushed at each other, fighting in superspeed, while all that everyone else, Wally and Jesse and Sonic and Knuckles on the ground, and Kara and Tails in the air, saw were red and yellow circles of lightning.

"Come on, Barry, move," Jesse said, she and the other three with her bracing themselves for when they would have a clear shot.

"Let us take a shot at him," Sonic added.

Thawne pinned Barry against a dumpster, creating a large dent in the metal rubbish container as he did so, before Thawne then hurled Barry through a shop window, the glass shattering as Barry crashed to the floor. That gave Tails the chance to fire an energy shot at Thawne, hitting the Reverse Flash man in the chest and staggering him back a few steps.

"Come on, Thawne. Put up ya dukes and take ya best shot," Tails challenged, "You ain't gonna best us that easily."

"You think so, fox?" Thawne answered back, and raised his right arm and spun it around, creating a cyclone which struck and sent Tails flying through the air.

"Tails!" Kara and Sonic both shouted, the Kryptonian setting off after her furry two-tailed friend. And at that moment, Knuckles made the first move, leaping up and forwards towards Thawne. Thawne sensed his approach and turned round, but wasn't fast enough to avoid the rock hard punch which Knuckles landed fully on him, his boxing gloved encased fist impacting Thawne straight in the chest, throwing Thawne off his feet and backwards quite a few feet before he landed on the tarmac, rolling a few times before pulling himself to his knees.

"You don't mess with family, Man in Yellow," Knuckles growled.

"I'm always the faster of any of you," Thawne smirked arrogantly.

"Let us see," Jesse said, and sped forwards, only for Thawne, to the shock of everyone, including a just recovered Barry, to grab her by her throat as she came up to him and speed off with her, Barry and Wally both shouting "Jesse!" as Sonic and Knuckles raced off after Thawne, the two metahuman speedsters doing the same following after the hedgehog and echidna.

High above, Tails was about to hit a building, but just in time Kara arrived and grabbed him before he could do so, Tails bringing his own flight momentum back under control as he recovered from the force of which Thawne's wind power had sent him through the air at.

"You OK?" Kara asked.

Tails nodded, face set in grim determination as he held up his laser gun. "Let's get after him," he said, Kara nodding, as they zoomed off to find their friends.

Meanwhile, Thawne sped through the city, still keeping a tight hold of Jesse by the throat until he then hurled her violently forwards, Jesse impacting and rolling over on the tarmac, only for Thawne to then seize her again, this time by the back of her suit, and perform the same thing he had just done, this time sending her against the side of a building, Jesse gasping from the impact as she slid again to the ground, wondering if her back was broken.

"You have spirit, young Jesse Quick," Thawne sneered, "But you'll never be as masterful as me." And before Jesse could respond with an answer or even move, Thawne sped up to her and grabbed her right ankle, returning to the spot where he'd stopped at and, still gripping Jesse's ankle, spun her around and hurled her against another building. This time though, before Jesse could complete her descent to the ground again, Thawne sped forward and gave her a powerful speed powered upper cut to the chest, sending the young speedster woman rocketing high into the air, Thawne speeding up the wall and catching up with her as they approached the roof, grabbing her and taking her onto the roof itself and throwing her against a structure on there. And as Jesse impacted against it, Thawne once again seized and held her up by the front of her suit with his left hand, then punched her powerfully with his right, Jesse sent back over the roof and down to the ground below.

There she lay, utterly winded and almost unconscious, sure that every bone in her body must be broken, before she managed, with what strength she had left, to roll and prop herself against the side of the building, as Thawne arrived once again.

"I told you this isn't your fight, Jesse Quick," he said, holding out his vibrating right hand, aiming it towards her chest.

Then Knuckles, curled up in a spinning ball, impacted Thawne from the side, propelling him away from Jesse, the red echidna, with Sonic and Barry in tow, following after him, as now Wally arrived. "Jesse," he exclaimed, his face full of utmost alarm and concern as he began looking and checking the young Earth 2 speedster girl over, "Jesse, talk to me. Are you OK?"

"Yeah," Jesse managed to groan, still feeling the sheer pain from the immense blows Thawne had inflicted on her.

Meanwhile, an angry Barry, flanked by Sonic and Knuckles, Tails and Kara staying hovering above, faced Thawne on the open road.

"You'll pay for that, Thawne," Barry hissed.

"Let's see if you fair against us in a straight run, Eobard," Sonic challenged Thawne, "See how you do against the alien hedgehog, fox and echidna who can best National City's guardian herself in a race."

"No one can ever get the better of me, hedgehog," Thawne spat.

"Let us see, Thawne," Kara answered defiantly.

"On your marks..." Sonic said, he and the rest turning a hundred and eighty degrees to face the other way, "Get set..." they made themselves ready into starting positions, "And... go." And with that, they were off, Sonic and Knuckles in the lead with Tails descending a little so that he flew next to Sonic, Thawne successfully keeping in pace with them, Barry right behind him, Kara bringing up the rear.

"Man, this guy really is much more of an experienced than Mr Pizza Crust Face with the suit of armour," Sonic remarked as they zoomed through Central City, "He's literally breathing down our necks."

"Well I suppose that's what you can do when you're the longterm arch nemesis of your opposite counterpart," Tails pointed out.

"Let's see how he does when following us through your rings, hedgehog," Knuckles suggested.

"Exactly, Knucks," Sonic agreed, pulling out one of his rings and holding up, then threw it forwards, the ring expanding and enlarging into a portal...

Earth 63, graveyard in Manhattan (in a VERY certain TV episode indeed)

"Amy. Come see this," Rory beckoned to his wife, as he stared in confusion at a gravestone that seemed to have his own name on it.

"What?" Amy asked.

"There's a gravestone here for someone with the same name as me," Rory explained.

"What?" Amy responded, thinking Rory must be kidding somehow.

But then, their attention was drawn by the sudden materialization of a large gold rimmed circle, clearly some sort of portal, to Rory's left, he and an equally as stunned Amy having only a few moments to register it before straight out of it zoomed three fast blurs, one blue, a second orange and the third, followed right behind by two men dressed in yellow and red outfits trailing lightning of the same colours, before finally a blue dressed blonde haired female figure with a red cape flying out behind her came through, the Ponds blown off their feet by the force of wind from the first three, the portal vanishing as did the six whatevers that had just come through it.

"What on Earth was all that?!" Rory gasped, unable to fully take in at first what had just happened.

"Search me, Rory love," Amy answered, feeling the same as her husband, as the Doctor and River came hurrying out of the TARDIS.

"Mother, father, are you alright?" River asked, face full of concern.

"We just picked up some strange signal..." the Doctor began, and then broke off, eyes widening. "Come here. Get away from that Angel," he ordered frantically, Amy and Rory doing so.

"What Angel?" Rory asked, but then saw what the Doctor meant as they all looked upon a small stone Angel, its left arm pointing outwards. And as they did so, Rory then realized, with a sense of utter horror at just what it had to be, he been standing right in front of it just before the portal and the six super-fast moving individuals who had come racing out of it had all appeared, and if that very unexpected event hadn't just happened...

The Doctor scanned it with his sonic screwdriver. "A survivor. Very weak, but keep your eyes on it," he said.

Earth 92 (a VERY certain BTVS season 6 episode's ending)

"Buffy." Buffy and Xander broke off their hug at the sound of the voice, as Andrew marched briskly in. "You think you could just do that to me? You think I'd let you just get away with that?" he ranted, then laughed madly, finishing with "Think again" and raised the gun he was holding, preparing to fire and kill Buffy with it.

Only to then pause at seeing the amplified looks of astonishment on Buffy and Xander's faces, both of them looking behind Andrew, the confused young man turning to see what it was and gape opened mouthed at the gold rimmed portal that had appeared out of nowhere in front of them. Upon seeing the figures of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles approaching the gateway at superspeed, Andrew yelled in fright and turned to run, but never made it as, watched by a still mighty astounded Buffy and Xander, the hedgehog, fox and echidna came zooming out first, managing to avoid Andrew, Thawne and Barry following them moments later, and lastly came Kara, she colliding with Andrew full on and knocking him to the ground, the gun falling out of his hand, Kara calling out a "Sorry" as she and the five super-speeders disappeared, the portal doing the same.

Andrew wailed pathetically like a baby, his bodily bones all broken from Kara ramming into him, the two Scoobies and Tara and Willow, the two witch lovers having just arrived on the scene too late to have witnessed what the other two had just done, looking to one another for any possible explanation. "What the hell did we just witness?" Xander asked.

"Search me," Buffy simply gave in answer, she and the other three never to know that the totally sudden occurring events of the last few seconds had just prevented a heart shattering thing from ever happening.

Earth 100, Polis

Seeing the gun in Titus's left hand, Clarke Griffin straightened up from where she was in front of a tied up and gagged John Murphy and raised her own hands. "Titus, what is this about?" she asked the Flamekeeper.

"I'm sorry it had to come to this, Clarke. Truly I am," Titus said regretfully.

"Look. I'm leaving right now. Octavia's waiting for me. Just let me take Murphy, and we'll go," Clarke pleaded.

"Wish I could," Titus said, raising his gun, "Lexa would never execute her duty while you live."

"Hey. Titus, think. She's gonna know it was you," Clarke pressed, trying to talk him down.

Titus however gestured with the gun to Murphy. "She'll think it was him, Skaikru weapon in the hands of a Skaikru thief," he said, voice tone rising, "She might even be angry enough to declare war!" And with that, he fired the gun, Clarke ducking as it ricocheted off the bed frame. She kept low as Titus fired again, the vase on the bedside table with the lit candles around it disintegrating as it was hit, Clarke throwing a chair at him and causing him to fall to the floor as she made for the chamber door, needing to get out and warn Lexa.

But then as Titus drew himself up a little and aimed at Clarke again, a gold rimmed portal opened right in front of Clarke, she and a stunned Titus, as well as a just arrived Lexa, who had heard the commotion in the room and come hurrying in to see what the hell was going on, and a wide eyed Murphy freezing in place. And a moment later, the blue, orange and red blurs of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles zoomed through and went crashing through the far wall, the red and yellow lightning blurs of Thawne and Barry following and exiting through the large hole left by the other three, Kara then doing the same herself, the portal vanishing as they did too, leaving behind four very stunned lost for words individuals from Skaikru and Trikru in their wake.

"What the..." Titus gasped.

"Explain to me just what the hell has been going on here just now," Lexa at last demanded, she and Clarke never to know just how extremely close they had become to being separated from each other forever by a single ill intent from Titus.

Earth 2007, 4 million years ago, Pliocene Period era Africa

"Whatever you do, humanity will find a way to evolve. You can't fight nature!" Danny Quinn proclaimed defiantly to the megalomaniacal totally psychopathic in nature bitch Helen Cutter from where he stood on the ground below.

"You sound just like Nick," Helen said sneeringly from her clifftop position above him, "And you know what? You're both wrong." Danny seethed as Helen, adding "Goodbye, Danny", began reaching into her bag for her gun.

But then, both of their attention was drawn by the emergence of a large golden rimmed circle right behind Helen, some sort of portal of completely unknown origin to the two modern day humans. Helen though never had the chance to comprehend just what it was before Sonic, Tails and Knuckles on either side as usual, came racing through and out, the blue hedgehog barreling straight into Helen and propelling her back and over the edge, Helen screaming as she fell, Danny scrambling back as she impacted the ground below and lay still, the three aliens, followed right behind by Barry and Thawne and then Kara disappearing up and over the hills on the other side.

Danny carefully approached Helen's lifeless body, turning her over onto her back and checking that she really was dead, and finding that she was, he breathed an immense sigh of relief, looking up again at the clifftop where the portal, now gone, had emerged. "Thanks, boys," he said to himself. But then relief and happiness at Helen's much welcomed demise turned to shock as a raptor, clearly having followed Danny through the anomaly Helen had opened in the Cretaceous Period on her journey to here, then appeared, appeared there, peering down at Danny and giving a small roar.

"Well, bit of a new situation now," Danny muttered.

Earth 1, Egypt

"Are we ever gonna shake this guy Thawne off our backs?" Tails asked as they took yet another ring portal through to the Sahara desert where the Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza stood, Sonic remembering back to when he and Dr Robotnik each other to the same location on their Earth.

"Allow me, Tails," Kara said as she finally took action, increasing her flight speed while at the same time pulling back her right arm, and then punched Thawne full in the back, propelling him forward off his feet and through the air at fantastic speed where he crashed against one of the Pyramids, Barry and the Earth 38'ers halting.

"How's that for your first experience of Kryptonian super-strength, eh, Eobard?" Kara called out smugly.

"Bet that must be giving you tremendous back ache right now, Man in Yellow," Knuckles added, the rest laughing.

At that, the rage and hatred within him having only increased all the more at how the alien hedgehog, fox and echidna had been able to keep just ahead of him in their run, and also at now having just experienced Kara's powers for himself for the first time, Thawne was back on his feet and zooming back straight at them. But Kara made the first move, stepping out in front of Barry and the other three as, after first remarking "Get a load of this, Reverse Flash", she blew a big puff of freeze-breath from her mouth, Thawne unable to speed out of the way in time as he was hit full on by the cold blast, encasing him in a block of ice which thickened more as Kara kept it up before at last letting up, leaving Thawne fully sealed in an extremely thickened cold block.

Kara turned back to her fellow racers. "How was that then for racing your evil counterpart in a hopping between other worlds run, eh, Barry?" she asked her friend with a mischievous grin, "Cos that's exactly what we no doubt must've done just now thanks to where Sonic's ring portals took us.

"Never thought I'd see the moment anyone was able to best Thawne so successfully as what you've just done, that's for sure, Kara," Barry said in awed agreement, "And yes, sure was something indeed.

"Cold wins the day, Super," Knuckles cheered, Sonic and Tails both giving a "Yahoo" and jumping and punching the air with a fist.

But their joyful mood was extinguished as they heard the unmistakable sound of ice cracking, and they all looked again to the ice block Kara had just entrapped Thawne in, only to see it shaking and vibrating, the cracks on its surface increasing as it now glowed red on the inside. Until finally, Thawne burst out of it, arms out wide as he did, the pieces of ice immediately melting as they hit the desert sand.

"Oh great. Cold didn't keep him down after all," Sonic groaned.

"Very clever, daughter of Krypton," Thawne addressed Kara, "But you forget. I am the Reverse Flash. Nothing ever stops me in my quest to best the Flash as the ultimate speedster. Not even your super powers. I always win in the end."

"Then let's finish this between us, man to man, speedster to speedster, once and for all, Thawne," Barry snarled, turning to Sonic. "D'you have plenty more of those rings of yours, Sonic?" he asked.

Sonic nodded, pulling another out of his bag and throwing it to Barry. "Go get 'im, Barry," he said in encouraging support, Kara, Tails and Knuckles nodding too.

And with that, Barry began running round and around Thawne in a yellow lightning circle, creating a huge sandstorm shaped like a wind funnel which spun and whirled skywards, temporarily blinding Thawne's sight of Barry, together with the Earth 38'ers, before they then did see Barry racing up the side of one of the Pyramids. Doing so, Thawne was immediately after him yet again, Kara, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles watching and praying as Barry, with Thawne right behind about to overtake him, threw the ring given to him, which opened into a portal above the very tip of the Pyramid, the Flash and his Reverse counterpart entering it neck and neck with each other...

Central City

Wally and Jesse, the Earth 2 speedster girl leaning on Wally for support as she recovered from the pain of Thawne's earlier blows, her right arm around his shoulders, saw the portal appear, and the red and yellow lightning figures of Barry and Thawne come speeding out of it, not stopping even as they passed the other two.

Wally turned to Jesse. "You sure you're feeling up for this?" he asked her.

Jesse nodded. "Let's end this son-of-a-bitch," she declared, releasing her supporting hold of Wally. And with that, they were off after their mentor and friend and his arch nemesis, just as the four from Earth 38 arrived back themselves too.

Meanwhile, Barry and Thawne chased each other into the football stadium they had had their first fight with each other at Christmas three years ago, Thawne once more activating the stadium's lights as he and Barry faced each other across the playing field, Thawne having taken his cowel down so that Barry could see his face fully.

"How ironic, don't you think so, Flash?" Thawne asked smugly, "It ends where it began that first night you encountered and fought me without at all knowing who I fully was to you at the time, and also when you weren't at your full speed capacity back then either."

"Only this time, you will be the one to lose, Thawne," Barry spat defiantly, the two rushing each other, Thawne felling Barry with a powerful right arm move, Barry gasping as he landed on his back.

"You think so, Barry?" Thawne gloated, speeding off, Barry following, as, like that first night three years ago, they ran through the stadium, exchanging blows before returning to the pitch, Thawne rugby tackling Barry to the ground, before then speeding off moments before Wally and Jesse arrived.

"Barr," Wally said as he held out a hand, Barry taking it and allowing Wally to help him to his feet.

"Where did he go?" Jesse asked, only for the answer to be given as they were all blown off their feet in different directions by Thawne as he returned, this time having retrieved the Spear of Destiny from where he had thrown it after Sonic's first ring portal had allowed him to escape from 1916. And although Sara had depowered it so that it was no longer ever capable of its main purpose of being able to rewrite reality, it was still effective as an ordinary weapon, which Thawne made full use of as he sped up to where Jesse lay and stabbed her through her left leg, Jesse screaming as he did so.

"I told you this wasn't your fight to get involved in, young Jesse Quick," Thawne told her, Jesse's screams of pain increasing as he pulled the Spear out of, her blood covering half of its blade.

"You bastard," Wally roared as he rushed Thawne, but Thawne merely whacked Wally in the chest with the Spear's wooden shaft, sending the young Kid Flash speedster back down onto the grass and then stabbing him through the right shoulder with the Spear, Wally screaming.

"You think you'll ever be as good as Barry, huh, Kid Flash?" Thawne asked Wally as smug and as gloatingly as ever, "You're nothing compared to him."

"Say that again, Eobard," Barry bellowed in pure hatred as he too now made his move on Thawne, but again the Reverse Flash just managed to get there first, pulling the Spear out of Wally's shoulder and thrusting it through Barry's side as he came up to him, Barry emitting his own high scream of immense pain at the touch of the Spear's blade, falling back to the ground and joining his fellow speedsters there as Thawne pulled it back out, the blood of Barry, Wally and Jesse now coating the Spear. And now Thawne stepped forward and planted his right foot on Barry's throat, Barry choking as Thawne increased the pressure, unable to move as the Reverse Flash raised the Spear, aiming its tip right at Barry's exposed chest.

"At last, it ends between us, for you and your pathetic youngster pals, Flash," Thawne hissed through gritted teeth, preparing to strike. But then, the inhuman roar of the Black Flash sounded out, Thawne freezing, face overcome with sheer horror and terror, eyes widening at the realization of his own self carelessness, for once again he had allowed himself to become immersed in other things, in this case it was once more seeing and battling his lifelong speedster foe that had done it, and forgotten about the fact he had made the absolutely fatal mistake of abandoning his special pager in Doomworld.

"You sure about that, Thawne?" Wally asked, managing a grin in spite of the pain of his wound and not knowing just what it was that had emitted the sound, as the Black Flash itself now arrived in a flash of red lightning at the other end of the football pitch, emitting a loud roar.

"No..." Thawne breathed, face drained of colour, and prepared to flee for his life again. But he had only managed to speed past the three downed hero speedsters before, in the blink of a eye, the Black Flash intercepted him, its clawed left hand grabbing him by the throat while its right pierced his chest, shredding Thawne's heart in the same he enjoyed killing himself, the speedster demon monster roaring in his face before yanking its hand out of him, and then speeding off, just as Kara, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles arrived, and so were in time for the endgame.

Just like with Savitar earlier, from the Earth 38 quartet's perspective anyway, it started with Thawne's hands and slowly spread up his arms, his body blackening followed by his legs and feet, with glowing orange cracks similar to those on smouldering logs from a campfire appearing all over him. Then, observed by the Earth 1'ers, 38'ers and Jesse, Thawne watched in horror, as first the Spear itself, and then his fingers and then his whole hands began to break apart, the pieces floating and dissolving in the air. Then his arms, feet, legs and body all followed, dissolving one by one, until his head was the only thing left of him, the Reverse Flash emitting one final scream of rage, fate having at last ultimately cheated him, before that too, and himself, was gone.

"My god," Jesse breathed, this being her first time witnessing a speedster's erasure. But then the Black Flash was back in their midst, looking between them all, Kara, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles recoiling at the sight of its horrific rotted flesh scarred face and fanged teeth thanks to the torn off left side of his cowl, but then it roared once and was gone.

"Was that...?" Wally began.

"Hunter!" Barry answered, shocked at seeing the speedster who had plagued Jesse and dad Harry's home Earth for years, and then him and his team and their own Earth, but who had now obviously been turned by the Speedforce and its Time Wraith enforcers into their latest freak of nature, end Thawne so easily.

"Guys, oh my god!" Kara now exclaimed herself, she and the other three hurrying over, horrified at seeing their speedster friends' wounds inflicted on them by the now erased from existence Thawne with the Spear of Destiny.

"We'd better get them back to STAR Labs at once," Tails said urgently.

"At once," Sonic agreed unhesitatingly.

"Allow me the honour, Lady Quick," Knuckles said to Jesse, picking her up as gently as he could with his boxing glove encased hands. Kara lifted Barry up and positioned him in her arms bridal style, Barry wrapping his arms around her neck for support, while Wally himself didn't resist as Tails placed his hands under his arms, the fox's two tails blurring into life again as he carefully lifted the young Kid Flash speedster up and off the ground a little way.

"Let's go," Sonic urged, and together they raced away from the stadium, heading for STAR Labs where the rest of their two teams' members awaited.

Chapter Text

The Waverider

"You think Thawne could be in Central City?" Jax asked as Sara piloted the Waverider through the Temporal Zone. The White Canary had of course updated him and the others on what she and the Reverse Flash man had briefly witnessed in 1916 before the latter had zoomed through in order to get away from the Black Flash, and now that they had returned the three human Legion of Doom members to their respective times, and Rip himself had also bid farewell after accepting that the team no longer needed him after his helpful anyway addition to them against the Legion, they needed to urgently locate just where and when Thawne could've gone after escaping from 1916.

"It is where Barry and the team at STAR Labs are based," Professor Stein answered for him, "And you all now know just what Thawne's history with Barry is."

"Which means that Central City is where we need to start looking," Sara agreed with the professor, "We'll make contact with Barry and the rest and see if they can give any update themselves if Thawne is indeed there with them."

"Good idea, Sara," Ray spoke in further support.

"Gideon, plot a course. Get us to Central City as fast as you possibly can," Sara commanded their AI.

"Actually, Captain Lance, Eobard Thawne may be the least of your worries right now," Gideon, who Sara and Jax themselves had also met in proper hot looks bearing form when freeing Rip from his Legion of Doom induced brainwashed state, spoke in a serious voice.

Hearing that, everyone on the team stiffened and turned round in their seats to face Gideon's console. "What the hell's that supposed to mean?" Mick demanded.

"I am picking up an unknown signal originating from Earth no.38 heading straight for Earth 1, destination of oncoming signal being Central City itself," Gideon answered, "And it's a big one, although what exactly it is I currently have no idea to at this present time."

"Earth 38?!" Amaya exclaimed, "But that's-"

"That's where the blonde flying alien woman in blue with the red cape, Kara Danvers as she was called aka Supergirl, who aided us in the Dominator business comes from," Nate took up, remembering the person concerned from back then.

"Well what're we sitting around here for then?" Sara put in, cutting short any further pointless discussion, "Our friends in Central City could be in urgent need of help if there's an incoming threat from another Earth, the one where Miss Danvers comes from apparently. Gideon-"

"Right away, Captain Lance. Full steam ahead to Central City, 2017," Gideon obliged, the Waverider zooming through the Temporal Zone.

Central City

"Caitlin, have yourself and your Killer Frost persona standby," Kara spoke into her earpiece.

"Why? What's happened, Kara?" Caitlin asked, her voice, and the faces of the others of Teams Flash and Supergirl showed it extremely plainly too, full of high concern.

"The bastard Thawne injured Barry and Wally and Jesse, most likely with the Spear he was holding after we brought him here for where and whenever it was he'd previously been, before non-existence finally caught up with him," Kara explained, deciding to leave out about the Black Flash for the moment until the right time came.

"Woah woah woah. Did you say 'injured'?!" Cisco exclaimed, alarm now overcoming him and the rest who were in STAR Labs.

"Can't explain it fully right now, Cisco. Just tell Caitlin and Killer Frost to standby. We're on our way back to you right now," Kara implied again urgently.

"You got it," Cisco replied without any further argument.

Kara heard Barry groan and she looked down at her friend, seeing his teeth clenched with the pain of his spear wound, his arm tightening their grip around her neck. "Come on, Barry," she said desperately, "Hang in there." She increased her flying speed as she followed Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, the latter two carrying Wally and Jesse.

But then, without any warning, right in front of them materialized in midair another hedgehog, this one coloured black and red, the eyes of Sonic and Knuckles and Tails and Kara widening in utter shock as they tried to slow down, but not having any time to do so as the new arrival punched out with his right hand, his fist crashing straight into Kara's face.

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, finally managing to stop, watched in immense horror as their Kryptonian friend was propelled backwards at full speed by the blow, her arms unintentionally releasing Barry from their hold, Sonic speeding forwards and catching the Scarlet Speedster guardian of Central City before he could hit the ground. But then the new black and red hedgehog intruder horrified them still more as he teleported beneath Kara and kicked up with both his feet, propelling the Kryptonian girl upwards through the air as he then teleported back and forth several times, delivering several more punches before his last one sent Kara back down at great speed and smashing straight through the windows of the floor of an empty office building.

"Kara!" Team Sonic shouted all at once, Knuckles using her real name for once in his great panic, as he and the other two sped over to and up the glass windowed walls of the building to the floor where they had seen Kara go through, arriving there to see their friend pulling herself onto her hands and knees, groaning as she did so from the pain she was still feeling from the blows inflicted on her, the three aliens' shock only amplifying when they saw her spit out some blood, her nose also emitting blood which Kara found out herself when her hand reached up and touched it, shocking her just as much as Team Sonic sped over to her.

"Kara. Are you alright?" an extremely high concerned Sonic asked immediately, he and Tails and Knuckles still unable to fully fathom and take in just what they had borne witness to, and upon their National City guardian super-powered daughter of Krypton friend at that.

"Yeah," Kara managed to say at last, even though she was far from it as she fell onto her bum, Team Sonic supporting her as she did so while being careful about the shards of broken glass on the floor at the same time. "Who the hell was that guy?" Kara asked, only for that to be answered by the red and black hedgehog arriving instantly in front of them via teleportation.

"Woah," Sonic gasped, "Are you guys seeing this?"

"He looks just like you," Tails agreed.

"Impossible," Knuckles furthered.

"You're a colourful bunch," the new hedgehog stated plainly and unimpressed.

"Um, excuse me. Why do you look like me?" Sonic demanded.

"Seriously, Sonic?" Kara said, unable to believe her blue hedgehog pal could be asking that sort of question right now.

"I don't look like you. You look like me. Why do you look like me?" the new hedgehog countered back in just as quizzical a manner as Sonic.

"Hey, I think we'll be asking the questions, new hedgehog," Knuckles put in angrily, "Like, who are you? How could you hurt Krypton's last daughter figure the way you did so easily?"

"Kara? Guys? Kara, what's going on?" Alex's voice came from Kara's earpiece, she and everyone waiting at STAR Labs having no idea about what had just transpired, and wondering at the same time why they were taking so long in bringing the injured Barry and Wally and Jesse back.

"This is a waste of time," Mr New Hedgehog said as if he had had enough already, "Someone wants to meet you."

"Who?" Sonic demanded, only for him and the other three to be answered by a ring portal opening right under them, all four dropping through with loud yells of exclamation and landing back where the still crippled Barry, Jesse and Wally had been left by Team Sonic, Kara making a small crater as she landed, the ring portal disappearing. Then they looked up to see where the source of it must have come from, that source revealing itself to be...

"You two!" Knuckles shouted at seeing two people standing before them, a young black man and white woman, the latter with short brown hair, both dressed in black suit trousers and combat boots and white shirts and Kevlar vests. Over their top halves however, the two also wore additional steel armour outfits, each with a power bank containing a Knuckles originated Chaos Energy emitting quill in the centre, which was being used to power the weapons they also carried on their persons. The woman wielded two big barrelled pistols in her hands, with a smaller one on her belt and a large barrelled rifle slung over her back, the man himself had his hands encased in metal gauntlets (anyone who's seen the 'Knuckles' show do the maths and hopefully work out what I'm describing, as I'm always quite rubbish, haha).

"Hello, Echidna," corrupt former member of GUN Agent Mason, which was the man's name, his partner being fellow disgraced former GUN employee from London Agent Willoughby, sneered, "Missed us, after that cleverly timed performance in that hotel room in Reno hurled us into dimension hell and trapped us there for a time?"

"But we're back," Willoughby put in, "And ready for a little payback on you for it."

"How? And by who?" Tails asked. Knuckles had of course told him and Sonic and human foster parent figures Tom and Maddie, and then at a later date Kara and their friends in National City too, all about his and Green Hills Deputy Sheriff Wade Whipple's little adventure to Reno, Nevada, to allow Wade to take on his not so fatherly at all father "Pistol" Pete Whipple in a bowling tournament, which Wade had triumphed in thanks to what Knuckles had helped teach him about the Ways of the Echidna Warrior along the way, as well as also meeting Wade's mother and sister Wendy and Wanda at their family home in Boise, Idaho, and their run-ins with the two Agents standing before them and the man known as the Buyer. Tom and Maddie had at first naturally not been best pleased that Knuckles had broken the rules of supposed to be grounded, but when Wade himself had supported his new buddy, and shown his hard won bowling trophy to go with it, the Wachowskis had relented and congratulated Knuckles on his achievements to and with Wade on their little outing together.

As if on cue to answer Tails's question, the ground shook as a great thundering, like a giant's footsteps, sounded out behind them, followed by more, the ground and everything and everyone shaking and bouncing as the louder in volume footsteps neared, until the source slowly, and in typical movie style fashion, came into view.

If Kara and Team Sonic hadn't been immensly shocked and horrified enough by the arrival of the new hedgehog and his being able to best Kara so easily the way he had, followed by the return arrival of Agents Mason and Willoughby, all that rocketed even more to truly universal scale, Barry, Wally and Jesse reacting the very same way in spite of their injuries, all three of them scrambling up onto their feet as best they could but ultimately needing the assistance of the Earth 38'ers to do so, Kara supporting Barry while Wally and Jesse did so with each other, at the sight of...

"Eggman?!" Sonic and Tails gasped aloud, Knuckles himself using "Robotnik", at seeing Dr Ivo Robotnik's Giant Eggman Robot, now looking newly reassembled and repaired after their battle against it and its bald headed stuck-out moustached comedic maniac controller months ago, before them.

"Guys, are you seeing this?!" Barry gasped, addressing the words to their fellow teammembers still awaiting at STAR Labs.

"We sure are, man," Cisco himself replied in absolute exclaimation, he, Caitlin, Joe, Harry Wells and everyone else on Team Supergirl staring in just as much absolute horror at what they were seeing on the STAR Labs computer screens.

"Robotnik's back," Lucy Lane gasped.

"That does it," General Astra put in, turning to Cisco. "May I suggest you get us to where my niece and the hedgehog and fox and echidna and your speedster pals are right this instant, Ramon?" she urged desperately.

Cisco nodded. "Let's go," he agreed, he and Caitlin hurriedly moving to get suited up.

"Let's get you and Miss Lane some guns, Miss Danvers," Harry told Alex.

"And us," Patty spoke up, gesturing to herself and Joe, set determination on her face and voice, "We're not sitting this out, Harry, not when Barry and everyone else is gonna need all hands on deck from us, especially after they've helped save me from Savitar."

Harry nodded. "No argument with you, Spivott," he agreed, he and the other four hurrying out of the room to fetch some weapons.

"What the hell is that thing?" Jesse demanded, she and Wally almost unable to fully take in the awesome and offworldly looking sight before them, the Eggman Robot having now halted a short distance away.

As if on cue to answer her question, another ring portal opened in front of them, and two men stepped out. One was a younger man with short black hair and a beard, dressed in a black suit and tie. But the other on his right, wearing a red and black trenchcoat and black trousers, gloves and leather shoes, his familiar pair of goggles perched up on his forehead, was a face which, upon the instantly recognizable anywhere sight of it, provoked instant reactions from the small group of Earths 1 and 38 heroes, absolute contempt and fury from Team Sonic and Kara, and wide eyed astonishment and disbelief from the three metahuman speedsters- the face of Dr Ivo Robotnik.

"Hello, Hedgehog and co.," he greeted them with a usual big sly smile, "Did you miss me, us in fact actually?" He gestured with a sweeping motion of his left hand to Agent Stone, who was the other man with him, and to Mason and Willoughby.

"So not at all dead, I see, after being rather absent this last number of months since your latest big battle against Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in Green Hills, eh, Robotnik?" Kara spat contemptedly.

"Correct in every word, Mademoiselle Danvers," Robotnik answered in typical gleeful comedic style, "Though I haven't been sitting around on my master comedy inventing genius's butt gettin' fat on cheese and meat burgers and watchin' Mexicano soap operas for all that time." He and Agent Stone and the other two couldn't resist laughing at that, the group of seven not reacting at all. "Cos behold..." Robotnik indicated the Eggman Robot with his arms like a circus ringmaster would. "My Master Emerald gifted baby is back," he proclaimed like a proud father, and then gestured to Agents Mason and Willoughby. "And I believe you and my new associates are already acquainted with each other thanks to your little outta town bowling venture with that rather bumbling Deputy Sheriff guy, Echidna."

"You can thank the good old doctor there for rescuing us from where you sent us into with your perfectly timed punch with the rings, Echidna," Willoughby said, "Potentially saving me and Mason from certain death which was what we came very close due to how long we were in that in-between worlds hell place."

"Wade Whipple is a Warrior and a victor now," Knuckles countered back defiantly, addressing Robotnik with this, "Thanks to me training him in preparation for the inevitable and victorious battle against the schmuck who was his father." Then he turned again to the two Agents, "And I dropped a large ball on your friend the Buyer's head, so eliminating him for good."

"Yes, so I learned regarding that disillusioned little pipsqueak of a former partner of mine who decided to go and play his own little business game after my own unwilling exile to the Mushroom Planet," Robotnik hissed in his own contempt, knowing full well of the Buyer and his wanton desire for Knuckle's own power, which had only lead to his own downfall thanks to the combined strength in arms from Knuckles and Wade Whipple, "Hence, when I offered Mr Mason and Ms Willoughby a second shot of better service and revenge upon the little red nuisance who'd evaded their grasp one time too many, well..." he gave a shrug and a facial expression of 'Whatever?', spreading his arms out as he did so, "I didn't expect them to say no."

Now the new hedgehog himself teleported in, appearing in front of Robotnik and Agent Stone. "Ah yes, and say hello to our newest BFF member," Robotnik went on, indicating to him as he spoke, "Everyone, meet Shadow, with a very touching indeed but also tragically tragic connection with my past, and that of M 's former job bosses too."

Registering the once again rocketing shock expressions on the faces of Team Sonic and Kara themselves especially, Shadow nodded. "Can't say it's a pleasure at the moment to meet you all," he stated simply.

"Huh, not after what you've just inflicted on me without any warning whatsoever," Kara hissed, still feeling the effects of the blows Shadow had inflicted on her upon his completely outta the blue arrival.

"And how the hell did you come to possess the ability to be able to track and follow Sonic and his group across the infinity of the multiverse to here, eh, Mr Bald Headed Sucker?" Jesse asked, unable to resist a tease of her own.

"Ooooohhh, that's no way to address the guy who's gonna crush and rule your world with help from his lovely BFFs and inventions upon your defeat, is it, young lady speedster?" Robotnik answered in his oh so typical way of doing so, Agent Stone chuckling at it. The former now examined Jesse and Wally and Barry. "Would I be correct in assuming you'd be Misters Barry Allen and nephew member Wallace Rudolph West and Jesse Chambers?" he asked them.

"Wells. Jesse Wells, or Jesse Quick, to you, Robotnik," Jesse corrected sharply.

"I ain't Barry's nephew, thank you," Wally himself countered back crossly, disgusted at the thought of such a thing being possible, "I'm the son of his adopted dad, Detective Joe West."

"And how could you possibly know about us without having clapped eyes on us whatsoever, huh?" Barry now demanded of Robotnik.

"Oh, you three delightful flesh and blood versions really do come close, but not quite close enough hundred percent a match it seems, to your colourful cartoon selves who I rather enjoyed reading in the comics," Robotnik replied, chuckling at the confused expressions on the three's faces before then telling Jesse, "But that costume of yours really does need a complete makeover and redo, young Chambers."

"Wells!" Jesse corrected again in an increasingly cross tone of voice, Robotnik's remarks about her own suit also having insulted her more, "And what's it matter to you about the way I dress, eh?"

It was then that Alex, Lucy, General Astra, Harry, Patty, Joe, Cisco and Caitlin arrived on the scene via a breach, Cisco and Caitlin dressed in their different outfits, Harry with his usual Mercury Labs acquired energy rifle, Joe, Patty, Alex and Lucy themselves armed with some similar versions which Harry and Cisco had constructed in the likely event of such a happening as what was now going on.

"Oh my god. Guys!" Cisco immediately gasped, he and the others staring in their own immense horror at the bloodied areas of Barry, Wally and Jesse's suits where Eobard Thawne had thrust the Spear of Destiny's blade into them, and in Kara's case her bloodied nose, and they all hurried over, completely ignoring the presences of Dr Robotnik and the other enemy individuals for the moment.

"What the hell happened, Kara?" Alex asked, she and Lucy and General Astra unable to believe the sight of her sister's broken nose coupled with that Kara clutched her chest as she continued to feel Shadow's earlier blows despite her gradual recovery process.

Kara pointed to the red and black hedgehog himself. "He did," she answered simply, Alex, Lucy and Astra reacting as expected towards the sight of Shadow.

"Is that...?" Lucy began as realization came over her mixed in with her shock.

"I don't believe it!" Alex cut in, she too unable to believe just what, or who, it was she was seeing.

"Wait. You know this guy, Alex?" Sonic asked, he and Tails and Knuckles looking to the younger Danvers sister in astonishment.

"We do indeed, Sonic," Alex answered straight away. She and Lucy, during their time as members of the DEO under J'onn J'onzz's leadership, had learned and been told of by the Martian Manhunter the top secret and controversial US military, and government sponsored, program known as Project Shadow established in 1974, spearheaded by now G.U.N boss Commander Walters and the world's best minded scientist at the time, and the grandfather of the current comedic maniacal descendant who had now found his way here to Earth 1, Gerald Robotnik to study and experiment on the ultimate lifeform, that being Shadow himsef, until a terrible catastrophe had resulted in the whole project being shut down, Gerald Robotnik arrested and Shadow imprisoned on the heavily fortified location of Prison Island.

"If this weren't happening for real, I wouldn't've believed it could be at all possible," Cisco breathed as he looked between Robotnik, Shadow, the Eggman Robot, and Agents Stone, Mason and Willoughby.

"You can say that again," Caitlin, hair white in her Killer Frost joined persona, agreed, she and Cisco still struggling to fully take in the absolute magnitude of what this night was continuing to throw at them. First with meeting actual real life versions of the Sonic games characters, then what had just occured with Eobard Thawne, and now this... Just what was their world coming to than it had already been for them all ever since what the Particle Accelerator explosion's aftermaths had thrown up for them ever since 2014?

And then, to the great jaw dropping astoundment of Team Sonic, Robotnik and Agents Stone, Mason and Willoughby, and those of Team Supergirl who hadn't been there to meet them during the Dominator business, Team Flash themselves expressing relief at seeing it, Shadow himself simply remaining impassive himself, the Waverider now appeared in the sky, halting in a hover position above them before a second breach opened and out from it emerged the Legends team of Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, Jefferson Jackson and Martin Stein, Amaya Jiwe, Mick Rory and Nate Heywood, Sara, Ray, Nate and Amaya kitted in their usual outfits. Seeing Team Flash there, they began to express their relief and delight, but all that was instantly replaced by the same reactions as how the majority of the Earth 38'ers themselves were doing so.

"My god. Is that... And are they..." Ray started, but couldn't go on, just looking boggle eyed and jaw dropped between Team Sonic, Robotnik, Shadow and the Eggman Robot, the other time travellers doing the very same themselves at seeing just what and who were all before them.

"Sara. Guys," Barry said, "What're you all doing here?"

The Legends captain and White Canary finally overcame what she and the rest were all expressing together, and turned to her speedster ally. "Gideon alerted us to an incoming threat that was on its way here, Barry," she explained basically, looking once again to Robotnik and his cohorts, "Guess this is our answer."

"Enough of all this talk," Shadow at last spoke again, everyone's attention now going to him as the hedgehog himself looked up to Robotnik, "Let us attack, Doctor."

Robotnik nodded, giving off his usual sly smile. "Good idea, my dear Shadow," he agreed, and at the same moment a ring portal opened up again behind him and Agent Stone. "Mason, Willoughy... Get 'em!" he ordered the two former GUN employees loudly before he and Stone turned round and jumped through the portal which closed behind them the moment they did so.

A moment later, Robotnik's amplied voice sounded out over the speaker system's of the Eggman Robot. "Time to unleash my babies," he announced, and then from the shoulders of the Robot emerged like bees a swarm of the mad inventor's traditional Badnick egg-shaped drones, which headed straight for the group of heroes from Earths 1 and 38.

"Incoming!" Sonic announced, as if everyone couldn't see it anyway.

"Atom, Firestorm," Sara commanded.

"On it, Sara," Ray answered immediately, taking off into the sky as Jax and Professor Stein clasped hands and merged into Firestorm, following Ray up. And as the Badnick swarm neared the gun wielders blasted their weapons at them, Kara using her Heat Vision, Firestorm throwing fireballs, Ray shooting Dwarf Star energy, Caitlin and Cisco their different powers, Badnicks exploding everywhere as they were destroyed. Barry, Jesse and Wally, in spite of their Thawne inflicted wounds, joined in as best they could, they and Sonic, Nate and Amaya punching Badnicks which came at or near them, the two Legends using the powers of Steel and the Anansi Totem, the speedsters their metahuman speed vibration abilities.

In the midst of all this, Knuckles himself turned to Mason and Willoughby and thumped his boxing gloved encased hands together, emitting sparks of red energy. "Round three. Let's go," he told them.

"With pleasure, Echidna," Mason responded invitingly with a sneer.

"Want a hand, Knuckles?" Sara offered as she came to his side, hands holding her batons. The red Echidna Warrior glanced up at her as she did so.

"You know who I am, Miss...?" he asked.

"Lance. Sara Lance, or Captain Lance, the White Canary, whichever one you wanna go with," Sara introduced herself properly, "And in case ya wondering about me and my gaggle of pals you've just met, we're time travellers."

That caused the eyes of Knuckles and the two former G.U.N Agents to widen. "You mean like Doctor Who type stuff, in that craft hovering above our heads?" Willoughby exclaimed in question, gesturing with her head to the Waverider with the last seven words.

Sara nodded. "Ya could say that," she answered in confirmation, "But that ain't no TARDIS. That's the Waverider." She cut any further talk by raising her batons. "Now put 'em up, take ya best shot, British bitch," she challenged Willoughby.

"How about this, human woman?" Shadow's voice suddenly cut in, and a split second later, Sara not even getting the chance to register the fact that he had appeared right behind her via teleportation, she felt herself being impacted hard in the back and propelled forward at fantastic speed, batons falling out of her hands, until she impacted and rolled around on the tarmac road a few times before coming to rest on her back, which itself was now feeling like it just been impacted with an enormous sledgehammer, Sara's breath escaping from her mouth in great gasps from the experience of what had just happened.

"You little..." Mick roared, he and the other Legends- all of the Badnick drone swarm had now been destroyed- having seen what had just happened to their Captain. At once, he rounded his Heat Gun on Shadow and fired a burst of flame in his direction, but the new hedgehog immediately teleported away to avoid it and then appear again behind the Heatwave man at his feet, hands grabbing Mick's ankles and pulling violently, Mick falling violently down on his front and dropping the Heat Gun. And then, watched by the mighty shocked everyone else of the hero teams, Shadow lifted him up effortlessly without any difficulty and swung him round and around at fantastic speed, Mick nothing but a blur until finally, Shadow released him and sent Mick flying up and through the air, Mick yelling loudly as he did so.

"Mick!" Amaya screamed as Ray prepared to fly and rescue his fellow Legend. But Shadow intervened before he could do so, appearing in front of Ray and kicking him, sending the Atom man backwards in the air, forcing Firestorm to go after Mick instead, Kara not wasting time and heading off on the rescue mission too.

As they both did so, Shadow performed the same as what he had done earlier with Kara on Ray, teleporting back and forth several times and delivering more punches and kicks, sending Ray up and down backwards and forwards without even allowing him the opportunity to use his Dwarf Star blasts in defense, which wouldn't be possible to do effectively now anyway due to that Shadow's continuous attacks had inflicted heavy damage to the Atom suit, the rest of Teams Sonic, Supergirl, Flash and Legends unable to do anything but look on helplessly as this happened, Shadow finishing it by sending Ray flying towards the Giant Eggman Robot.

"Let me give you a hand, good sir," Dr Robotnik asked as comedic as ever, operating the Robot's right arm so that its huge hand reached out and grabbed hold of Ray, its fingers holding Ray tightly and squeezing, sparks emitting from his already almost useless suit as Robotnik tightened the robot's hand grip more and more until, most of the women bringing their hands up over their mouths in utter horrified shock as it happened, parts of Ray's suit splintered and fell apart and off him, falling and clanking to the ground as Robotnik now released Ray proper, throwing him down on the ground at the feet of the other heroes.

"Ray!" Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, Nate and Amaya all yelled as Kara and Firestorm returned, the former carrying Mick in her arms, the Heatwave Man looking extremely whoozy from his up in the air experience and showing it as Kara set him down on his feet. But upon seeing the state of his fellow Legend, Mick's eyes widened and he bellowed "Haircut!", Firestorm separating into an equally as horrified Jax and Stein, as they all knelt down in front of and around Ray who lay unmoving but very very thankfully, after frantic examination by Patty and Professor Stein, still alive, but looking in a very very bad way indeed.

"Oooohh, I'm sorry, was that a little bit too tight a grasp? Pardon me, don't know my own strength," Robotnik's voice said from the Robot ending with a cackle.

"Take that back, you son of a bitch," Amaya roared, activating her Anansi Totem and empowering herself with the spirits of a rhino, elephant and gorilla, then adding a cheetah's she charged straight towards the giant Robot at the big cat's speed.

"Die, mosquito," Robotnik said, reaching down with and then walking the Robot's right hand along the ground by its index and middle fingers towards Amaya, but the Vixen woman, just like Knuckles himself had done similarly in Green Hills months before, leapt up and forwards, giving a loud cry as she punched out with her rigth fist, crashing it into the dorsal side of the huge metal hand which rose up and balled into a fist at that.

"Oooohh, that hurt!" Robotnik proclaimed, but Amaya wasn't finished yet, as she again summoned the spirits of some of Earth's most powerful land animals followed by that of an eagle, the last one enabling her the ability of flight, which she now used in a big leaping jump up and towards the Eggman Robot's great big chest, fist smashing into it and sending the giant contraption and its pilot and passenger staggering back several steps, the Robot's hands opening out as if to keep it in balance as it swayed on its metal feet.

"How d'ya like that, eh?" Amaya shouted, her rage still as great as ever over what had happened with Ray. The answer to that however she got from Shadow, the red and black hedgehog teleporting in front of the Vixen woman, and before she could defend and attack herself he upper-cutted her with his right hand, Amaya propelled backwards off her feet and soaring over the other's heads and those of Agents Mason and Willoughby until she landed back down with a brutal thump next to a just recovered Sara, Amaya gasping from the impact and from the blow done by Shadow.

"Thank you, my dear Shadow," Robotnik, he and Stone having regained control of the Robot, gave in praise to the hedgehog concerned, and then a moment later a barrage of missiles were shot from the Robot's torso, heading straight for everyone.

"Gideon, we need assistance," Mick ordered into his own earpiece.

"Right away, Mr Rory," the British woman AI answered, unleashing as much of the Waverider's countermeasures as possible while at the same time, Cisco also doing the same thing himself, opening breaches to Earth 15, which was the multiverse's dead wasteland Earth, sending as many of the missiles as possible through them, Kara, Astra, Knuckles and Tails destroying those that escaped the breaches and Waverider defenses with their powers.

At last, Knuckles turned back again to Mason and Willoughby. "This ends now," he told them angrily.

"Alright, fine. Fine, let's do it your way," Willoughby answered, she and Mason readying themselves, Mason holding up his Gauntlet encased hands ready to fight.

"You and your buddy wanna play it dirty like your pal Robtnik likes doing, eh, British bitch?" Sara spoke from behind the two Agents, who turned round to face her and Amaya, the latter having recovered from what Shadow had inflicted on her, the two Legends glaring viciously at the other pair. "Lets do this," Sara proclaimed.

"Oooh, not with me, us, too you ain't, ma'am. Leave some for the rest of us too, you know?" The voice, upon which Sonic, Tails and Knuckles's eyes widened at hearing, mouths forming smiles of surprised delight, came from behind Sara and Amaya, both Legends women turning and stepping aside to reveal...

"Tom. Maddie!" Sonic exclaimed in absolute joy at seeing his adopted human foster parents, Knuckles himself reacting the same with "Wade Whipple!" at seeing the additional presence of the Green Hills Deputy Sheriff who he had had quite the fun little adventure with in Nevada and Idaho, the three humans themselves also expressing their delight at seeing the three alien creatures who were a part of their family.

"I don't believe this," Dr Robotnik's voice roared comedically from the Eggman Robot, the man himself and Agent Stone staring in shock at seeing the Wachowskis again, Shadow himself just growling in annoyance. "The pestilence Pastry King and his missus have returned to annoy me once more," Robotnik went on.

Hearing it, Tom and Maddie looked in its direction. "Donut Lord, if you've forgotten again so fast, Robotnik," Tom shouted as loud as his vocal chords would allow him.

"You dared mess with Green Hills and paid the price," Maddie shouted in support of her husband, "And now you and your new buddies and contraptions think you could mess with another world, huh?"

"Are you giving me a lecture on the meaning of coming and getting, eh, Ms M.W?" Robotnik asked, using the Eggman Robot's left hand to gesture to its chest as he said the words.

"Hello, Knucks," Wade, who had a matching set of mechanic Chaos Energy-powered Gauntlets like those of Agent Mason's on his hands, greeted his Echidna Warrior friend while this was going on, before then turning his attention to Mason and Willoughby, who were both giving Wade equal looks of fierce expressioned hatred, considering that he had given them just as much as trouble on his and Knuckles' little quest together months before. "Ah no, not you two troublemakers again," Wade remarked.

"Yes, Deputy boy. We're back," Willoughby growled in answer.

"Being given the chance of a third go of revenge on the Echidna thanks to the good old Dr back there..." Mason went next, gesturing briefly over his shoulder to the Eggman Robot and its controller with his right hand, "...was satisfying enough to think about. But now that you're here too..." he sneered, "We can have double the fun."

"How about triple or quarter that, huh?" At hearing the new voice, which came from above, it was now Team Supergirl themselves to react with shock and delight as the source, everyone looking up to see where it had come from, now descended from the sky, revealing...

"Clark!" Kara shouted in sheer joy at seeing her cousin, Team Flash and the Legends themselves, even Mick, reacting with wide eyed shock expressions at seeing the much more muscular and well built in body, blue and red wearing doppelganger version of their Atom name bearing friend from Star City, the two Kryptonians zooming forwards into each other's arms and happily embracing with happy laughs.

"What're you doing here, not that it's not a good thing you are here?" Kara asked.

Clark just smiled and looked skywards again. "J'onn," he called, and a moment later, to the ever more increased delight of the Earth 38 originated hero members, as well as Team Flash, J'onn J'onzz, in Martian Manhunter form, floated gently down and alighted on the ground beside Clark. The moment he did so, Kara yelled and flung herself into his arms, J'onn laughing as they embraced, until Kara at last released him to allow Alex and Luy their chance at the same thing, General Astra herself content with just exchanging handshakes and a word greeting with the Martian Manhunter and DEO leader.

"Hello again, Mr Allen and company," J'onn then greeted Team Flash, who waved back in greeting.

"You too, J'onn J'onzz," Cisco said.

"Thank you so much for what you and Kara did for Patty," Barry added gratefully.

J'onn nodded. "It was a pleasure as well as a need to do so, Mr Allen," he acknowledged to the Flash man.

"So how come you guys and dear J'onn and Clark are here then?" Sonic asked Tom and Maddie and Wade. But before either of the three humans could answer the question, out from behind Tom, Maddie and Wade's backs, literally jumping over their heads in a very timed indeed somersaulting back flip jump, came a small figure who landed in amongst everyone, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles reacting with even greater astonishment, Knuckles himself expressing it the most over the other two, than all the rest of the Earth 1'ers and 38'ers themselves.

The new arrival in question was a brown-furred mobian female looking chipmunk, with auburn hair tied in a long plaited ponytail which went down her back, and over the white stripe which adorned it also, and ending at her short tail. She had small, triangular ears with light brown canals on top of her head, her face itself had a lighter brown patch in which her large blue eyes with auburn eyelids and medium-length eyelashes and muzzle with a small black nose are settled. The clothing she was currently wearing consisted of black skintight shorts with white rimming, azure knee-high boots with white cuffs, soles, and outlines on the buckles with dark blue details inside, and over her tan coloured belly a closed azure vest which exposed her midriff, and a tight, black, sleeveless crop-top with white trim underneath. Her hands were encased in white gloves, with two blue coloured bracelets encasing her wrists.

"What...?" Tails began, he and Sonic and Knuckles, together with a wide eyed and dropped jawed Team Flash, all staring wide eyed at the chipmunk, but she now spoke herself.

"Sally Acorn, daughter of King Nigel Acorn, ruler of the Kingdom of Acorn, at your service, Sonic the Hedgehog, adopted son of Longclaw, and Miles Prower," the chipmunk introduced herself to Sonic and Tails and bowed.

"That Sally Acorn?!" Cisco exclaimed in growing excitement, he and the other Earth 1 originated members of Team Flash and those of the present day originated Legends looking between themselves as their thoughts were confirmed.

"Yes." The chipmunk's brow furrowed in confusion. "You know of me, Mr...?"

"Ramon. Cisco Ramon, also known as Vibe," Cisco introduced himself, indicating his fellow meta-humans and Joe, Patty and Harry, giving their names one by one as he did so, "Barry Allen, the Flash. Dr Caitlin Snow, Killer Frost. Wally West, Kid Flash. His father Detective Joe West, CCPD. Detective Patty Spivot, also CCPD. And Jesse Wells aka Jesse Quick, plus her father, Harry Wells."

Sara gave a cough, Sally looking to her and allowing the Legends captain to introduce herself and her teammates. "Sara Lance, the White Canary, and captain of the Legends. Jefferson Jackson and Professor Martin Stein, Firestorm. Mick Rory, Heatwave. Nate Heywood, Citizen Steel. Amaya Jiwe, Vixen," she said one by one, indicating each member with a hand as she did so, concluding with, "We're time travellers." Sally Acorn's eyes, as well as Sonic and Tails and the rest of Team Supergirl who hadn't met the Legends during the Dominator business, widened at hearing that.

"And damn right we sure know of you, as much as we do Sonic and his buddies and the Eggman back there," Cisco spoke again, indicating the Giant Eggman Robot with his left thumb.

"Video games," Caitlin said simply.

Although confused by what Caitlin herself had said, Sally bowed again. "Greetings to you all," she said, then looked to Knuckles and addressed him, "Greetings once again, Knuckles of the Echidna Warrior Tribe."

"It would seem our acquaintances from long ago have been brought together once again at a very unexpected time, Chipmunk," Knuckles acknowledged her, Sonic and Tails turning to him in yet more great surprise in that their fellow alien and this new and totally unexplained in arrival stranger seemed to have past history.

"You know this lady rodent, Knucks?" Sonic asked.

"Yeah, how?" an equally as surprised Wade put in himself too.

Knuckles nodded. "My people the Echidnas and the Chipmunk's own were neighbours years before," he answered, "Me and the Acorn King's daughter figure..." he indicated Sally with his left fist, "...had the pleasure of being close friends with each other when we were youngsters, including when my father would share tales about the great battles we Echidnas fought against the Giant Owls for the Master Emerald." A look of remorse now came upon Knuckles as he looked to a still unable to speak Sonic, "Until the day came of the battle between my people and Longclaw which saw the demise of the Echidnas."

"And you then disappeared on your hunt for Sonic and the Master Emerald, Knuckles," Sally concluded the basic story.

"So what brings you, along with the hedgehog's adopted family from Green Hills, the son of Krypton and the Martian Manhunter, here to the Flash's home Earth, Chipmunk?" Astra spoke at last, "And just how did you successfully manage to detect and locate our presences here across the infinity of the multiverse?

Now, grim set determination came over Sally's face, her mouth tightening, as she looked past the gathered humans and two Kryptonians to where the Giant Eggman Robot and Shadow themselves stood waiting, both having not yet responded at all to the arrival of the chipmunk. "We, I, are here because of them," she answered straight and simple pointing to the two concerned.

"Not long after you and Misters Schott and Olsen all departed to escort Miss Spivot home to here..." J'onn himself said, addressing Teams Supergirl and Sonic themselves, "We detected a number of non-friendly sounding energy signals, including the one originating from the chief subject of Project Shadow himself, who no doubt must owe his escape from highly secure internment on Prison Island to our old friend Robotnik there..." he nodded towards the Eggman Robot, "...heading straight for here. So we did some needed investigating."

"And when we and the DEO learned that said energy signals were those of the old enemy to Sonic and co. from Green Hills..." Clark now took over, "...these two..." he nodded briefly to Mason and Willoughby, "...and the very hedgehog who Robotnik's own grandfather was associated with decades ago until the tragic incident that befell both him personally and Project Shadow itself overall happened, well..." he shrugged, "We were certainly not gonna just back and wait and see how you guys here were gonna do upon learning of said things yourselves. So we followed them here." He turned to the Wachowskis and Wade Whipple, "After a quick stop at Green Hills first to fetch and bring these three up to date with what was going on, and invite them along to lend an extra helping hand."

Tom nodded. "We weren't gonna take the return of old Dr Robotnik lying down and do nothing, weren't we, Mads?" he said to his wife.

Maddie nodded. "Absolutely," she agreed determinedly.

"You and Sonic and Tails needed the help, Knucks," Wade thirded it, addressing Knuckles himself, "And after all that you yaself did to help me on our little outing together a while back..." He nodded, holding up his Gauntlet encased right hand, "Am ready to join in and kick some butt."

Sally Acorn now looked between everyone of the heroes from both Earths. "Now, and I'll save the long explaination of just how I found you three's home for much later on..." she said these words to Team Sonic, who nodded in agreement with her, "Who wants to kick a robot and hedgehog?"

"Oh you can count me in without any argument, Miss Acorn," Amaya answered, "I want revenge for what that son-" but remembering who she was in the presence of, she quickly checked her mouth, "-that maniac with the bald head and stuck out moustache has done to our teammate."

Sara nodded. "It was the oncoming arrival to here of Robotnik and his pals that brought us back here," she said, the other Legends nodding, "And after what he's done to Ray..." She looked between the other standing five, who all nodded with fiery eyed and tight lipped determination expressions on their faces, then turned to Sally Acorn, "We're certainly in for this."

"Even though it seems we have only just been reunited, Chipmunk, it would be my pleasure to help you deliver some needed attacks on Robotnik and his pals," Knuckles spoke in agreement.

"You and me can deal with these two ourselves, Knuckles," Wade said indicating Mason and Willoughby.

Knuckles nodded. "It'd be my pleasure to do so with you once again, Wade Whipple," he agreed with his new friend from Green Hills.

"We'll gladly do so indeed, Miss Acorn," Kara added, referring to herself and her cousin and aunt who both nodded.

"But of course me and Sonic would be glad to be of assistance, right, Sonic?" Tails spoke, turning to the blue hedgehog as he asked the question.

Sonic nodded. "Indeed. After all, we aren't strong enough to beat Robotnik and his buddies, including that new invincible looking new similarity in appearance to me bad boy Shadow, on our own, but there's many of us here each with his or her own capability and power. Together, as a combined force of arms, as a team..."

"Absolutely," Sally Acorn agreed in a pleased voice.

"We make our stand here, on the field of battle," Knuckles proclaimed.

Sonic nodded. "This is it," he proclaimed with determination and pride, turning round along with everyone else to look towards the Eggman Robot and Shadow. "This is our moment," he furthered.

"So, Wade, Knuckles, these two are yours," Alex said, indicating Mason and Willoughby, "And the rest of us-"

"Robotnik and Shadow," a grim faced and ready for battle Kara finished the sentence.

"With pleasure," Cisco concluded overall.
