Thomas is, for a lack of a better word, broken. Two years in the glade. Two years of the maze. Two years of run down shoes and bleeding feet. Two years and they were still no closer to finding a way out.
Two long years and Thomas' hope of escape is long gone. But he's not allowed to say that. Two long years and god.. the top of those walls are looking increasingly inviting.
Thomas has lost all hope of finding a way out through the maze. Newt is losing hope that his Tommy is okay.
In this Thomas has came up in the box a year after Newt. This is held roughly one year before the main story with the main story pushed back a year
