    It’s been ten years since Doc passed away, and while it seems that Lightning has overcome his absence and successfully transformed himself from a seven-time champion into Cruz’s crew chief, something feels off. As he mulls over fond memories and lost chances with Doc, Lightning accidentally falls asleep inside the Hornet, encounters a mysterious old man who offers him a chance to return to the 1950s, back when Doc was still Hud—alive and kicking.
