Summary
Left disabled and chronically ill by the attack on Republic City, Mako's on an involuntary medical leave from the police force and is struggling to contribute to the transition of the Earth Kingdom into a democracy. With his aimless detective instincts running rampant, he keeps stumbling into long-buried secrets, about himself and his parents, about that little orphan they picked up three years ago, about the Red Lotus, and even about past avatars, which may or may not be connected.

Then there's also the fact no one can found out that he lost his bending one strange night.Speaking of the democratic transition, Korra finds herself suspected of involvement in a string of bombings around the Earth Kingdom. Courtesy of a former thief, who finds he has to compromise on his new ideals more than he'd like when secrets from the past and present unravel. Fortunately, lying is his specialty.
