Summary
1994. Harry had enough game and fortune to last a lifetime, he didn't need to be a Triwizard Champion, but Harry's name is pulled from the Goblet of Fire. When Dumbledore calls for Harry, Harry runs. But it's not enough.
Harry is staring down the ever growing expanse of the great hall, back pressed against the wooden doors as Dumbledore and the other teachers storm towards him. He presses back as they pass the goblet. Back and back. And he's on the other side, back to the entrance hall, facing the closed, locked, doors to the great hall. They rattle and voices sound on the other side. The air is cold but his lungs burn. Somewhere, anywhere. Up the stairs, two by two, again and again, up and up. The Fat Lady doesn't even try her usual drivel as he screeches the password at her. He's up the stairs into the boys dorms. In the mind to hide he finds his cloak and skids under the bed under the cloak. And that's when it hits. His breath catches and his heart pounds, head fuzzy.
