It was a normal day at Kripke High, chaotic. Even on the first day, the loud chaos never ceased. Not from crowded halls or confused younger grades, but from the notorious Gabriel Novak. Gabriel had been causing trouble since he got to the school and never stopped, not even the first day stopped him. It was a miracle he had decent enough grades they let him stay in football.
The previous night the trickster (joke intended) had picked the lock on the front door and set pranks for each and every teacher he had had before, for what he called “A final memory first day”. Gabriel would be graduating this year and was already making the most of his final days in his shithole of a school. Ending up in the principal's office was just part of the fun for him

Castiel Novak was quiet and kept to himself as always but his older brother's reputation did him no favours. He didn’t let him know this of course, pranks were who Gabriel was, and who was Castiel to take that from him? He knew if Gabriel ever found out that people were dicks to his little brother, either he would stop, or there would be bloodshed. Castiel thought the latter was much more likely.
Unlike the older Novak, Castiel was just trying to get through another day at the hell he knew as Kripke High.

Sam Winchester walked through the crowded halls with his best friend Charlie Bradburry. If the whole school didn’t know she was a lesbian, there would be a thousand rumours about the two. Sam didn’t have the worst school life ever, it could be much worse but since his older brother was captain of the football team nobody pushed too hard to bother him in fear his brother might break someone's nose… again .
Sometimes he thought his brother’s protectiveness was a bit much but sam Knew there was no way he would ever change

Dean Winchester, head of the football team. Nobody dared to mess with him and especially not his brother Sam. He didn’t try very hard in school and got half decent grades but was great at football, hence his position as captain. Some tried to argue it was from family connections since he knew coach Singer but at the end of the day most accepted that he was just good at the game.

Dean and Gabriel never really spoke aside occasionally during practices, the Winchester not being too fond of the other's reputation. He wasn’t much better but he liked to think he was.
As for the younger of the two, they had seen one another in the library before but neither said a word to one another or even acknowledged the others existence for that. It was a school library, why would you?
Why would any of these people ever talk for that matter?
