Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

The oldest concepts, which supposedly formed the first existence, are Darkness And Light. Good and Evil. Death and Life. Destruction and Creation. And many more. And people have claimed for centuries that the difference is either clear as day or gray as fog. But even that is a misconception.

The greatest mistake made by the people who studied the concepts, is that of Chaos and Order. These 2 concepts are not parallels of Darkness and Light like so many are. Chaos and Order are the children of Darkness and Light (Metaphorically.) Chaos is born from the battle of these 2 concepts, Chaos is existence, Chaos is humanity. Chaos is the most natural form of existence. Order is born from the lack of this battle. From when Darkness or Light wins their battle. Order is end of all things, inevitable and absolute. The Order Of Light is an endless peace, a harmonized existence where there is no longer difference or individuality. No thoughts, no suffering, an endless peace and lack of true living. And unending ending. The Order Of Dark is nothing. All things are wiped from existence. No thoughts. No people. No land. No ocean. No sun. No god. The everlasting nothingness.

Light and Dark are eldritch beings. They lack humanity, and in fact have no humanity. They are 2 forces of nature that rarely take true forms or avatars. But Chaos is different. Humanity has long since forgotten the truth of Chaos. For every life is Chaos. Endless ups and downs that make life worth living. Chaos is humanity. It is the yearning for experience. It is the act of living itself.

But, even without Chaos, there are beings who understand that existence itself is so vast, neither Light nor Darkness will ever truly win. It is simply impossible... Right?

"Within Darkness, there is light. Within Light, there is darkness." - Such a common saying, and yet so horribly wrong.
