   Summary

   Catherine de Medici awaits execution in a tower and while the king plots, the court whispers, and a prophecy looms, Catherine does what she does best: refuses to die. After all, when you’re a queen with a ruined reputation, an imprisoned prophet, a furious son, a meddling Scottish girl, and a husband who suddenly remembers annulments exist, you have two choices: surrender… or turn the tower into a very inconvenient obstacle. And Catherine, unsurprisingly, is not in a surrendering mood.
