   Summary

   Astarion pretended to read a book as his eyes scanned over his traveling companions. One of them was going to be the target of his plan. His nice, simple plan to seduce and emotionally manipulate said target into becoming his loyal defender. Although he didn’t doubt his abilities to look after himself, it would be nice to have an extra layer of protection—especially before people found out about his vampirism. He had to start sowing the seeds of lust now.

   Astarion’s selection process for his ideal target becomes more complicated than he expected as he considers each of his companions. The most unlikely one, however, just might be the key to his salvation.
